Is that really her Twitter account? I think my IQ dropped 30 points just attempting to read the first page. Ow.

I just can't take anything with that many errors seriously. Maybe if a lawsuit is actually filed, but until then, I'll have to go with the "drunk lunatic twitter post" theory.

Who is Courtney Love, why do I care, and what the hell is the problem with putting a dead person's likeness in a game?

And does she really think that a company like Activison would do something with jumping through the proper legal hoops first?

And do people really think developers were thinking "Oh, lets put Kurt Colbain in! He'll make us a lot of money"!" and "Kurt Colbain was a really awesome guy and a popular musician. It'd be pretty cool and we'd think fans will like it if we put him in our game, you know, being that its about music and all."?

She's just butthurt that she wasn't in it....

Actually she would have been an improvement. At least the embarrassment of a person can be in the embarrassment of a guitar game.

Apparently she didn't get enough money from killing her husband. Now she has to sue somebody to get even more.
You can't blame her though. We're living in a recession and a blowjob won't buy you as much crack as it used to

Isin't that just a little bit hypocritical? From what i heard she was the one that made the deal in the first place...

At the risk of being ignorant, doesn't Dave Grohl hold the keys to Nirvana's copyright these days?
Courtney got all rights to all Nirvanas material after Kurt died. Sadly.
Until the rest of Nirvana sued it out of her (it's been set to even shares for each former member.) Cobain's likeness belongs to the estate still though.

Oh well, she's pissed and is letting the world know. Big whoop.

As for her killing him, it is also likely that it could have been assisted suicide. Which would actually fit with the entire situation and oddities surrounding the death and items found afterwards.

Yeah I felt slightly uneasy when Hendrix showed up last time... Does anyone know who owns the rights to that shit?

I wasn't sure about the Cobain in GH5, but if Courtney is against it, I say they make it the COBAIN SHOW featuring Guitar Hero 5.

Ok, first of all-
We care what Courtney Love thinks these days? Since when? She obviously just wants more money milked from Cobain's grave.

Second, since when does Perez Hilton count as a news source, let alone a legitimate one.

Someone should just off Courtney Love, then take out Perez, making sure to desecrate his flabby remains once he's finally stone cold.

Like Cobain would give a fuck anyway. He's dead.

She obviously would of approved all of this beforehand but just wants to create drama anyway so she isn't forgotten.

I don't understand how she can be against it when she helped them pick out his clothes and hairstyle for the game. Activision even said she was great to work with.

Umm didn't Activision just "rob the graves" of the Beatles. And didn't the Beatles have just as much of an impact on the music industry back in the day? This strikes me as a "too soon" type deal. OMG he only died less than 20 years ago so this is wrong doesn't make sense to me. It isn't like it was done in bad taste. If Kurt was portrayed as a zombie or soemthing I would completely understand.

And if there is some breach of contract well that is a totally different issue.
No, that would be Harmonix and MTV Games responsible for that Beatles game.

I'm just going to throw out a WILD GUESS here. Courtney Love is a notorious twit. Activision is a massive corporation. This is a LEGAL DISPUTE. Who do you think figured this shit out way in advance?

If the answer isn't Activision, they should fire all their lawyers. People throw around bogus causes of action all the time. I suspect she simply misunderstands the contract. I cannot believe that the lawyers for such a large corporation would bungle such a simple matter.

She's overreacting. All they have him doing is playing the guitar. He's not doing anything vulgar or wrong. In fact, by letting him be in the game they're introducing his music to a younger generation. How is that a bad thing?

Besides, she has so messed up that no one will take her seriously, especially a court of law.

Ooops my bad. But the question still stands even though it was a different company.

I find it quite stupid that you need someone's permission for their likeness (especially for someone who's dead) but that's just me.
