The email did accomplish one semi-good thing. It reminded me I have an EA acoount. No idea how I forgot, since I need it for my Dragon Age DLC, but I did.

Well... I haven't actually heard anything bad about it. I just think it will be a completely pointless failure like Games For Windows (or whichever combination of words it was that eventually became the name of the Windows version of Xbox Live) and no-one will use it unless they have to.
