Alright, let's do Fallout 2.
Combat is a ***** with a large number of enemies because it takes ages to do their walking/fighting animations in between turns. You especially need to have patience with packs of wild dogs - every dog (of a pack of around a dozen) gets two attacks, and then another two if they get lucky. This is pretty annoying on its own, but if you're at a low level they can slowly tear you to shreds over a period of thirty seconds. You can't reload until they're done, either. Not cool.
Another gripe with combat is if you're fighting near the boundary of the map the enemy can sometimes flee off the screen, which makes targeting them impossible.
