I can't believe how few people know about Tremors.

The sequals and series were never quite as good, but the first film is one of my all-time favorites.

but my own personal "Cult" film would be 28 Days Later =P
Proof that anyone with an Xl 1 and after effects can make an awesome looking movie.
I don't know if you are agreeing with me or being "one of those guys" but all i can say is that the film had a lasting effect on me, and really made me think, and it is because of that that i love it and watch it a lot more than any of the other movies i own.

We are kindred spirits man.

I bought an XL 1 camera and became a cameraman because that movie showed how if you have a clear vision and resources you can make a classic film. It showed not only can horror be personal and meaningful, that UK and Irish actors can hold a film. To me it gave a huge injection of confidence to say "I can make that!"

Most anything by David Lynch - Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive (I probably spelled that wrong); all weird AS SHIT, but very awesome movies
I watched Mulholland Drive when I was about seven and that shit made no sense whatsoever.

Apart from the sex stuff, I was very wordly at age seven.

As for me most of mine are taken - I'd say any Tarantino film is pretty Culty, and Manos : The Hands Of Fate of course.

Office Space was a cult film, I think. So it would be my favorite because it was hilarious. Night of the Living Dead was a pretty killer movie, as well.

I would consider these some of the "Cult" films on my list, because being introduced to them generally requires someone referring you directly, based on known taste in films.

Being John Malkovich
Enemy Mine
Hackers
Ichi the Killer
Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter
The Monster Squad
Mystery Men
Nightwatch / Daywatch
Reefer Madness
The Room
Silent Night, Deadly Night
SLC Punk
Song of the South
Toxic Avenger
Trailer Park Boys

Not sure how much my favorite movies count here, but I saw a bunch of them listed anyway so:
Pulp Fiction, Boondock Saints, The Big Lebowski and Shawshank Redemption

Those are my favorite movies of all time. Shawshank might not count as cult, I guess, but I'm counting it. It wasn't important enough for cinemas here.

Such a unique movie. There's really nothing quite like it.
