Dark Cloud: Started

[StarStruckStrumpets]

The rabbit-thing poked it's head out.

"What do you have of ours? We need it back, we musn't make another kablooey!"

Jonas stepped in.

"Look, we're here to help you with your...kablooey? But we need to speak with the rest of you on the moon. We'd really appreciate it if you'd give us passage."

"Hmm...maybe...hold on."

The door closed for another few minutes.

"What the heck are they doing anyway?"

"In you come! Help fix kablooey? In you come in you do!"

"Is it just me, or is that thing way too excite-"

Jonas stood in awe, staring at the huge rocket.

"R...r...r-really?!"

Cera gasped, staring at the rocket that was towering above them.
"That's so... Awesome!" She said, feeling a rush of excitement.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"That thing...looks way too fast."

The rabbit-thing managed to sneak behind the group and kick them into the rocket.

"Goodbye! Off to fix kablooey now! Say mon mon to Osmond!"

The rabbit-thing smashed a large button and rammed his fingers into his ears. The thrusters burst into flames, sending the rocket out of it's base and into the sky.

 

[Aloran]

To say "Hit" by the force of the rocket taking off would be an understatement. "Flung backwards through the craft" would be a more apt description. Vids hurtled into the wall after not being able to brace himself. He merely lay in a crumpled heap as the G-force attempting to make his body become one with the ship.

"I fucking knew I didn't like this Bunny bastards." he mumbled to himself, trying to distract himself from the crushing sensation.

"Damn that little rabbit!"

Jonas struggled to keep himself in one piece. Suddenly, the rocket came to a halt, sending the passengers hurtling towards the front of the craft. Large plumes of steam brushed past the windows, then the door opened. 3 other bunny-things were standing outside.

"You want to fix our kablooey!? YAY! Must see Osmond! We'll take you now!"

They grabbed Jonas' hand and dragged him along.

 

[Aloran]

Vids decided that 2 major collisions with an unyielding spacecraft was all he could take. Laying in a heap at the front of the craft as opposed to the back of the craft where he'd been mere moments ago.

"Fuck. These. Rabbits." he mumbled as he hefted himself up. Willing his double edged spear to form, he held it beside him as he followed Jonas.

"If one of you little bastards comes near me I'll be going home with lucky rabbit ears!" He growled to anyone in the near vicinity.

"Heeey... Wait up." Cera groaned, dragging herself out of the rocket in a daze. She stumbled too her feet, lurching forward and grabbing onto Vids' arm for support.

"Are we on the moon yet?" She asked.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"No need to be so hostile Vids, they think we're here to fix their kablooey. Whatever that is. I think it means mistake?"

They entered a large hall, another rabbit-thing sitting in a large chair. He looked different to the others, like he was in charge. The one named Osmond, perhaps.

"Are you Osmond? One of your friends told us to say mon mon."

"D'aww, little Jable is sweet isn't he? He'll grow to be a fine engineer. I assume you were sent by treant?"

Jonas was about to talk, but was cut off by one of his friends.

 

[Aloran]

"hostile? HOSTILE?! I got flung forward by a bloody rocket ship with no warning. I'm sure there are safety issues in that deathtrap! I've cricked something in my neck and I can't feel my little finger!" He willed the spear to disappear as he breathed deeply.

He looked around at everyone staring at him. "WHAT? I had to get things off my chest." He paused, going over everything that had been said before his outburst.

"Wait, you know about the magic talking tree? Little bunny man?"

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"I find 'little bunny man' to be derogatory. My name is Osmond, I'm the chief of the moon people. Yes, I know of the tree, everyone in my generation knows of it. What is your point?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Aww. Look at the bunny. He's all furry an-- wait, furry. Isn't that what you said earlier?"

Marty scratched his head in confusion once more, looking around the group.

"Wait, you didn't say. What IS a furry?"

"Vids, don't patronise them." Cera said sternly, gently punching him on the shoulder. She rolled her eyes at Marty, refusing to answer his question.

"Yes, we were sent by Treant." She told the bunny.

 

[Aloran]

"Ow! Cera! Treat others as you would be treated yourself." Vids said with a smile before lightly flicking cera on the arm and smiling.

"Anyway, yes Osmond, we were sent by the treant. What are we supposed to do up here?"

He got sick of Marty asking what a furry was. He leant over and whispered into Marty's ear.

"You know those animal costumes people wear for parties and parades and stuff? Imagine a bunch of people having sex with each other in them. That's a furry." Vids stepped back as he watched Marty's face for a reaction.

 

[Sparrow]

"One, that's disguisting. Two, the next question that comes to mind would be, why? Actually-- no, don't answer that. I don't want to know."

He then slowly turned his head toward Vids.

"Wait, how did you know that anyway?"

 

[Aloran]

Vids grabbed his flask and took a large swig. It had remained in tact throughout the flight.

He held the flask out to Marty. "Trust me, you really don't want to know. Suffice to say when I was working under my father, before I met all you. I had a girlfriend who was into all kinds of stuff. And let's leave it at that." He paused for a moment before wiggling the flask a bit to attract Marty's attention.

"Drink up, the way this day's going the flask is going to be empty soon enough."

Osmond looked at the girl and gave her a thumb up.

"Thank you for being so polite, the rest of you are damn xenophobic. We did something bad, not on purpose of course. We were twiddling around with our sun giant, when someone cracked the sphere in his chest. All we saw from there was this little wispy thing fly into the crack, then...kablooey. Our robot took off, and since all we've heard from you Terrans is that a God has come to destroy them. East Terra is completely ablaze...you're lucky you live in the west."

Completely ablaze..? Cera thought, glancing at the others. How are we supposed to stop a thing like that?.
"Do you know where the robot is now?" She asked the bunny.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"We have a tracking device, but it went dead about 2 days ago. Even if you found the Sun Giant, you wouldn't be able to stop it. It's power exceeds that of any weapon you Terrans have. If you travel to the location, you should be able to get a bit of information. If you want, we can give you this device, you can keep in contact while you're on Terra. I have bad knews for you. The last known location happens to be in East Terra."

"Well damn, that sucks." Cera frowned. "I don't see why we can't try and get some info for you though. What do you think, Jonas?" She turned back to the others, wondering if they had the same bad feeling she did.

 

[StarStruckStrumpets]

"Me? I don't even know, this all seems a little too much responsibility for me, but I guess they all depend on us eh?"

Jonas' shoulders fell, and he let out a sigh.

"Can you send us there? And preferably in a less violent craft this time?"

"Consider it done."
