Dark Cloud: Started

[Aloran]

Vids stumbled as he felt something hit his shoulder. The adrenaline flowing through his system allowed him to ignore the pain that he new would accompany it.

I'll worry about it when we're safe again. He thought. But even as the thought left his mind he began to feel blood start to ooze down his back. Running through the darkness and dragging Marty behind him did not help anything.

"Marty Pull yourself together! I can't drag you for much further!" Vids yelled backwards, even though he knew that Marty was literally attached to him.

"Jonas!" He yelled ahead, conscious of the clowns behind him, but more aware that he had begun to feel lightheaded with no idea of where Jonas or Cera were.

"Jonas...Please be near." He mumbled under his breath, wandering further into the darkness.

"Wow, I can't see a thing." Cera said, clinging onto Jonas' arm. They walked further through the tunnels, their footsteps echoing.
"Do you think it's much further?" She asked.

"I've got no idea..."

Jonas heard a shout from behind.

"Yes, I'm here, what?"

Jonas stumbled over a rock, his waistcoat getting caught on what seemed to be a support for a torch. The support moved along a crack, a large stone door opening.

"I thought that kind of stuff only happened in the movies..."

They wandered down the passage, about 10 deformed clowns standing in the room.

"Jonas..." Cera pulled on his arm. "I don't think we can take these guys, maybe we should just run." She tried to keep her voice low.

PUSSIES

Vids kept stumbling forward. He'd long ago forced Marty onto Rhanad. The feeling in his right arm had completely gone up to his shoulder. He knew he should pull the knife that was jutting out of his shoulder out, however he didn't have the time, not when he knew that they had to find Cera and Jonas.

"Rhanad." Vids slurred his words as he stumbled and almost fell. "We need to get out of here. I can't make it much further." Vids closed his eyes and the temptation to not open them almost overwhelmed him. His right arm dangled limply by his side.

The clowns edged forward slowly, ominously. Then, in the blink of an eye, they were crushed by debris. A two-man high mech, mostly composed of cogs and scrap-metal broke through the wall. The man atop the machine had a large hobo-beard, and broken glasses.

"Follow me!"

The robot bounced wonkily down the passage it had created.

"How did... Wait!" Cera started chasing after the man in the large mech. She leaped over the debris, following him down the passage.

 

[Aloran]

Vids heard a large rumbling sound before a clunky walker crashed through the wall in front of him. He stopped in disbelief for a moment before noticing that Jonas was following it closely, with Cera relatively close behind.

"Thank god." Vids mumbled to himself, before weakly walking over to Cera.

"Hey Cer..." His voice cut off as he passed out beside her. It was only as he touched the ground and felt how wet his shirt was that he realized it was completely drenched in the blood from the wound in his shoulder.

"Fucking clowns." He thought before he was swallowed into the oblivion of unconsciousness.

"Whoa, Vids!?" Cera stopped chasing the guy in the mech, and fell down next to Vids.
"Vids wake up!" She shook him, before realising his shirt was soaked. "Oh man... Someone help!!" She yelled.

"Oh mother...come on big guy!"

Jonas strained as he hauled him onto his back.

"Come on, we move."

The group followed the mech into a large room, with around 10 other humans in the room. A large steel door fell behind the group once they were inside the bunker. The hobo-man spoke.

"We're...all thats left of this town."

I haven't checked this RP lately. Dammit, if I saw it earlier it could've bin waaaay better.

Rhanad was still panting from the long run they just endured.

Man, I'm really out of shape lately... And what was that weird feeling in my wrist?

"Okay," He said in a heavy sigh, "I guess we'll have to thank you guys for letting that metal dude show us the way. So, uh...Thanks."

Vids briefly woke up as he was hauled onto Jonas' back. The pain from the action jolted him from his unconscious. "Jonas..." He whispered weakly. "I fucking hate clowns." He mumbled before allowing himself to pass out again.

"Me too, but I think there are things that need dealing with."

Jonas looked at the group of survivors. 3 women. 2 children. 5 men.

"You're...all that made it?"

The hobo-man spoke.

"Well, all of the ones who we found initially. We've searched for people among debris, and the forests are a no-go. Anyone there would be charcoal by now. If you follow me, I have information."

Vids groaned in his sleep. His wound was still fresh and painful, causing his mind to retreat further into the depths of his unconscious. He was reliving all his memories as a young lad growing up with his father, his first crush, his first kiss. They all flew before him as his body was trying to fight to survive.

He shuddered in his sleep.

The group followed the man into an even smaller room, a large globe structure glowing in the corner. It showed harrowing images of the force that had torn apart the land. Then, it burst into flames.

"Sorry we couldn't help you more, but the globe can only handle so much data, it is a very primitive design. I can only point you a way, and of course, give you that hunk of tin."

The man pointed to the mech he was riding earlier.

"That is much appreciated, if there is anything we can do..."

"No. We've got no more supplies, and everything has been destroyed. If we leave, we'll die, if we stay, we starve. We've done the best we can to keep everyone else happy is die telling you the right path. Old tincan over there has a route programmed. Follow it, and everything else should come clear. Be careful, there are meanies on that road."

Cera frowned, not wanting to leave the people behind. "Thank you, so much." She said to the man, fighting back her instinctive urge to hug him.

She sighed. "I guess we should keep moving, before more of those clowns catch us."

"I agree...I'm sorry we can't do more."

Jonas clumsily climbed aboard the less-than-stylish mech, and started to move forward.

"We'll take it in turns, alright?"

"Okay.. Is there room for Vids up there? It's gonna be hard to carry him and follow the mech." Cera asked.
