I was disappointed with the first Darksiders...this isn't really looking any better. But hey, I might as well give it a shot.

Awesome, I liked the first Darksiders quite a lot anyways. Curious to see if they can continue on a successful legacy with this game.
..Although I did still want to play as War (having the other horsemen with me as lackies/co-op potential), admittedly. I felt like the character himself in the first game (love the flaming demon w/sword mode!), but it seems I am going to have to get an entirely new distance set for Death.

They thought so too, so they replaced Famine and Pestilence with Fury [http://assets.vg247.com/current//2010/01/horsemen_fury.jpg] (zOmg a GIRL!) and Strife [http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/1/10354/1244886-darksiders_strife_super.jpg] (who I like to think is basically Roland Deschain with a mask)CM156 said:

Darksiders was rather a lot of fun, neatly filling the Legacy of Kain shaped hole in my life that the lamentable lack of a sequel to Defiance created, so color me excited to see they're making more of it. Whee!

... I had to check we were looking at the same picture. Drew the original when i was about 7 maybe(?) and that was just a head; explanded on it when a friend suggested I enter into a webcomic competition, laziness meant I never did; have since come up with a fair bit of story surrounding him and his universe but lazy, so not writing it.Alucard788 said:Oh wow no your art is really nice! Aaaanyway, now my ego's stroked, I think there's a TVTropes link explaining the whole "never see them eat, poop etc", something about separation of story and gameplay perhaps?

Ok glad they made it this far the concept intrigued me but after seeing the first couple of minutes of game play and tbh,I only wanted too see what they'd do with death now i've seen i'm happy and will not bother actually playing the game but for those who played the first one i hope you enjoy it.
Also two minor grips his horse should be white(death rides on a pale horse) and they went for the jackie estardo design...really?

I'm glad they didn't go with the classic Western manifestation of Death as just a skeleton in a cloak with a scythe. That would be lame. Death here looks more bad ass than War did, and that's saying a lot!
I've never played the first Darksiders but I've always wanted to and I think now might be the time for me to go pick it up, give it a play.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, just got through playing the first, now want to play this, hope it sells well, i remember reading they would only continue the series if the second outsells the first.
