I kept waffling on Vader. Something about him, or at least my idea of him. Like even more beefed up and badass, he'd play the same cards. Calmly dominating without really exterting. I don't have that with Boba, always saw him as willing to go hands on anyway, but the Stormtrooper is a different story entirely. I LOVE how he looks like he's itching to beat you to paste with his bare hands.

Oh now I see it, looked awfully familiar until it clicked... these are Gundam designs.
We got Mecha Fett, Mecha Trooper and Mecha Vader, now there is a crossover that needs to happen.

I don't hate this as much as I thought I would have. This is much better than that Batman monstrosity. The slightly over-designed look actually adds some much needed detail. There was far too much of this stuff in the cannon that looked like Styrofoam armor with little detail or just looked a bit too simple. Not that I wouldn't love to have a good replica of the Fett-mans armor. I like these designs because they look more dynamic.

The stormtrooper looks too intimidating for a common mook. Bobba Fett doesn't look that different. Vader looks kind of cool, though.

While the stormtrooper looks far more intimidating ironically whenever Square makes an equivalent for FF they are even more inept than the iconic originals. I'm looking at you PSICOM.

It's . . . not as bad as when they redesigned Batman?

I mean, I was all for it when I saw a thumbnail of the Darth Vader one, but the more I look at them, the less appealing they are to me. I mean, they're not super ugly like the Batman one was, but there's still too many little things that scream, "We're just putting this in so it looks busy. People like busy, right?"

Unlike the Batman design we saw a while back, those at least look good because they might be detailed, but still keep their simplistic original idea.
I'd argue otherwise. They're better than the Batman design, sure, because that set an incredibly low bar. But while they may keep the overall original design in there to some degree, the majority of the changes seem like adding lines and details for the sake of adding them and not because they're actually enhancing the original design at all. It makes much of it just look like a cluttered mess which is a big no no for me.

Heyyy. Boba Fett actually looks like a badass, instead of looking like an insanely over-rated badass.

I would absolutely love to have any one of these, or more preferably all three sitting on my shelf looking all bad ass and intimidating. I wouldn't mind a Star Wars comic book series that made use of SE designs like these. It would also be nice if Square Enix followed the same design philosophy behind these for their Final Fantasy games.

Darth Sephiroth? More like Boba Sephiroth!
How about Bobaroth?

OT: The first thing that came to my mind was using them for some kind of stop-motion Star Wars tribute... if only all of the other characters from the original trilogy got this kind of treatment, that is...

Other than that, can this come in a Lando Calrissian version, per chance?

The funny thing is that they did do another bataman figurine not (As far as I'm aware) designed by Tetsuya "Needs more belts and zippers!" Nomura as seen here:

Still not too crazy about this one personally (the hooks on the cape and the massive arm blades bother me, also he has a gun), but it is better than the other one. I do really like the Joker Variant they did though (The lack of subtlety fits him more) and the Western version of batman they did looks pretty cool.

As for the actual Star wars figures I like them, I just think Vader looks too skinny personally. Also am I the only one who thinks the Storm trooper looks like the guy from Vanquish?

Are these the designs they'll be using for the next Kingdom Hearts game?
Now I'm just imagining Sora as a SPESS MEHREEN, that image makes me giggle a little.

Not working for me, honestly.. I mean, the Darth Vader looks like they stuck the iconic helmet onto an unrelated character... I don't see the appeal.

I like them especially Vanquish Stormtrooper, much better than that earlier Batman figure

Vader and Fett actually look pretty cool. The Trooper...not so much. It's a little too big and badass for a cannon fodder soldier, not to mention the helmet just makes me giggle. He looks like an Angry Marine
Pretend he is a Dark Trooper.

While not as bad as the Batman concept these are typically over-designed with bits and bobs added 'because its cool'

Fuck this, why not go for a design that looks simple and practical, like something these guys might actually wear? In fact why fix what aint broke in the first place?

A lot fewer belts and zippers than I was expecting. Also image 11 looks like the stormtrooper is firing a hotdog.
You may or may not care given that we are complete strangers, but your comment made me laugh out loud. So if you are the type of person who derives personal satisfaction from spreading joy, mission accomplished and well done. :)

They went too far with Stormtrooper. It barely resembles these aimless bastards. Vader is okay, i guess, but i like Boba Fett the most.
