I have my Sandman collection sitting on the shelf. They can nuke the rest of the universe for all I care.

I still an under the belief that rebooting a comic series is stupid. People who don't read comics will just continue to not read comics. What they should be doing is comic reform and get better writers to do better self contained stories so the read does not reference older material.

They can compliants all they want but it will happen. I don't think DC will yeild to them wanting to keep it the way it is unlike Hal Jordan. Beside I see this as a natural progress after all there was the golden and silver age DC comics. (Is the current comics before the reboot is bronze or after bronze?)

They're making a red lantern series. That gets me at least 80% behind the idea of a reboot. Although I'm unsure what will happen regarding Batman. Who will be wearing the cowl? How many Robins will there have been? And what's happening with Batman Inc.?
Batman is bruce again all the robins will have still happened and batman inc is just starting over again (which is stupid I agree)

dick is going to be nightwing again

Actually, I kinda like this idea. It'll introduce new people to comics, and that's what the industry REALLY kind of needs.
actually me to people keep saying it wont bring people on board but I am reading flash point now to see how the reboots going to happen so they got me onboard because of the reboot and thats one person right there. To be honest I think they need to follow the example set by manga and get a strong easy to follow continous story going and restart everything from the start origin stories and all.

I dont ad comics. But what the fuck have they done to the HQ costume. How the fuck do you go from her Jester/Harlequin outfit to, what lookedlike an emo in a corset. i like emo chicks for some reason, and corsets. But what the fuck is this shit.
I can see why this bothers people but for me as long as her character remains true I dont mind infact I like it she looks hawt as hell just as long as they dont completly change who the character is.

One second....Nope still don't care about the reboot. The lady in the video funny though that was a great joke. I stopped buying American comics a long time ago, this only proves the wisdom in my decision.

There's a time and place for critiquing new super villain costumes while dressed in a deluxe iparty version of their old costume. It's called the internet.

Have to agree with anyone else that's ever read more than a handful of DC comics though. This reboot sucks.

It's actually pretty close to the version from "Joker". Just a lot less...creative.

Batman Inc. is not getting rebooted. That part of the DC universe will continue as before, for some fucking reason (read: Grant Morrison).

actually, what the industry needs is to introduce new AND old people to NEW comics!! everything is either DC or Marvel... maybe it's time for the indie comics to have their chance.

It is a stupid outfit. She's an acrobat. There's no way she'd be able to fight in that without everything popping out or her clothes coming off. While that might be appealing in a fanfic or an H-doujin, it's not really something we want to see in the real story.

Looks like they're sexing it up if that poster is any indication
I take it you never even saw the Catwoman comic?

Anyway, I'm excited for two things with this reboot:

1) Redhood and the outlaws

This looks fucking awesome.

And Nightwing.

Caused the art is AMAZING.

Seeing as how HQ was a character created for Batman:TAS and THEN imported into the comics...and the whole 'pasty face, girlfriend/hoe that gets beat by her boyfriend/pimp' that is...well..er.

I'm kind of hoping the new version of HQ has stronger personality.
Less dependent on 'Mista Jay'.
Read the series "Gotham Girls". Harley is quite capable of being on her own without her puddin'.

Short term gain, long term loss.

Go and forsake your loyal fanbase to attract the more fickle masses.

I agree with the gutters comic, that they should switch the posters of these guys with people campaigning about refugees in Dafur or people raising money for the drought in Africa and let the black humour roll
