"Enough!" Executor sent out a blast of darkness that would knock everyone and everything to the ground within its wide radius. "All of you will bow before Us. Whether it is in life or in death is up to you."

Amphitrite narrowly missed being squashed by the Earthfather as he stumbled from the blast. Happy that she at least did not have to walk very far anymore, she flowed up the face of the mountains and rocks forming his body.

"I am here, brothers, excuse my sudden absence..."

Glacia fell to the ground, pushing herself up with her scythe quickly. "It seems that you believe yourself to be a god above all, dark one. It seems you need a lesson that none are better than the other. As well as an opportunity to cool off."

"You will go first then." Executor lunged at Glacia, slashing at her with his longer tentacles.

Dude; first post of this page! I was totally talking to you, and you ignored me!
Ah well, you're the one who started a fight with the Earthfather's fists right above you...

Also, did you just claim to know over a mountain? Especially one already crouching down to resist the winds?[/spoiler]

The Jotun was braced against the winds even before the blast; he was almost wider than he was tall at that point, and there was no force that could have knocked him down.

I am here, brothers, excuse my sudden absence..

The Mountain King felt joy as he reconnected to his sister, but his primary force right now was anger at the dark one. His feelings for Glacia were mixed, but he would not stand for the death of an elemental.

Raising a huge rock, he hurled it at Executor, then began to move forward, picking up a second rock and throwing it.

To Amphitrite, he thought, I am glad, sister. Stay close to me and be safe, until you regain your powers

The water colossus glided effortlessly up the mountain face, coming to rest on a small cliff on the surface of Jotun's chest. She felt a bit helpless, hoping that the Earthfather would not need her assistance. She looked back at the tainted lake, wondering what being had forced her out. It took a lot of power to hurt a colossi, and yet Amphitrite was sure she had been in pain. The red clouds were poison, and it took some effort for her to filter out the water and use it to create a new lake. Nevertheless, she made good time, gaining more power as she regenerated in the growing pool of water.

Glacia twisted out of the way of the tentacle. "You have made a foolish decision." Raising her scythe, she slashed at the tentacle she had just dodged.

The unholy wind strengthened, the force nearly enough to be blowing cars, the sands rapidly vanished under the gail. On the top of a small sandy hill, the sand was blown away to reveal what looked like an extremely rusty antenna, after a few seconds the top of a building was revealed, all over the desert concrete skeletons began to emerge. A once glorious settlement, now lost to the sands of time reborn again for this war of wars.

Legion wheeled from the shock of the blast. His hive mind was fracture and all the elementals that made up his body began vying for control. He eventually managed to get them settled down and restored his mind. Once he came too, he saw the elemental called Executor had begun attacking the other gods. "Well, now I know your intentions, unknown one."

Umm...ninja? I'm not entirely sure the uranium would detonate, seeing as it would mostly be chemical waste, since we are currently right over a human population.

Adtonitus looked down upon Executor from the heavens with a sneer. "Oh truly, Dark One? And how do you plan on reaching me up here in the sky?" Adtonitus laughed his booming laugh. The white lightning began to pulse across the sky, growing larger and brighter until a storm of lightning came down to smite Executor. Adtonitus followed one of the bolts and directed it to the shoulder of the Earthfather. Adtonitus smiled evilly before speaking to Old Hill Bones. "Say, Mountain King, why not just step on him? Let's see how fast he can dodge. I can carry Glacia out of the way in time."

I was think of him influence trace amounts of the metal that happened to be in the area, small enough to avoid human attention, but when brought together enough to create a small explosion. If it makes anyone feel better, I can change the metal to something like Francium or Cesium.
Which only detonate in the presence of water....

Executor snapped his tentacles out of Glacia's reach.

"We are indivisible, free from weakness. You will service Us."

With that, Executor flew at Glacia, slashing his longer ones at her to distract and disarm her, while using his medium-length tentacles to grab her.

Excecutpor however was suddenly struck in the back, sending him crashing into the ground below and freeing Glacia. Tempest had dive-bombed the creature in the back and then had pulled out of his dive. Letting loose a shriek of rage Tempest shot down again, holding out his Talons and preparing to dig into the Executor's eye sockets.

V was interrupted by a huge blast of dark energy knocking him through the air. His body hit the ground with a dull thud.

Well that was just rude. This creature obviously has no self-preservation instinct.

The wisps of smoke that were perpetually strung behind the fox turned sooty black as the animal pushed himself off the ground. His expression was contorted, deep in concentration. He was as an artist staring at a blank canvas.

Chaos had erupted around him as combatants entered the fray. It seemed as though the devourer had set his sights on Glacia first; lunging at her with incredible speed. Other titanic beings were already throwing their lots in against their mutual enemy. Tempest was already diving upon the creature with his considerable speed and power. The Earthfather stood above and Aphitrite was certainly nearby.

That blast of dark energy certainly alerted others of his presence. The destroyer would surely be destroyed.

But which option to take? Do I cast my lot in this battle and gain diplomatic leverage? Do I allow them to fight and destroy themselves? Surely this lightless foe will do some damage. But if his defeat is crushing, then it will be better for the long term to be seen as a friend by the more altruistic colossi.

V paused and considered carefully what Amphitrite had said about Tempest and the Jotun's feelings towards him.

It may not change their opinions of me, but it may give them pause before they start attacking on sight.

The fox closed his eyes and relaxed, exhaling a dark ashy cloud. Embers began to dance joyfully in the air. The time for the first brush stroke had come.

The fox erupted into flames forming nicely around his body as though his apricot fur began giving off light. Fires began to spread fluidly from the burning creature, initially forming a semi-circle upon the sands. After a moment the fires began to condense into self-contained shapes. The sweet scent of burning pine heralded a unique spectacle.

Thirty flaming foxes stood where the semi-circle inferno had once been. Only one was the true Velox Vulpes, but the flaming all seemed identical. The mouths of all moved even as only one voice rang out over the crackling fire.

"Dusky one, you have made a grave error. You may believe that power will allow you to disregard the natural order, but all the earth shall reject you this day."

With that, the fiery animals broke formation and scattered, taking position at seemingly random intervals surrounding the enemy. Two broke off and charged directly at the oily foe, intending to pepper him with burns.

Finally, the time to share my art again has come.

Executor veered off of his course to dodge Tempest's talons, only to be hit by lightning and some rocks. The victims inside Executor cried out in agony as Executor let out a cloud of darkness to cover his escape. Once he was sure he was far from the others, Executor dived into an ocean and hid while he recuperated.

Soon the ruins were fully uncovered, a blackened dusty city emerged from the sands. Rusted husks of cars sat dead in the streets, their owners long dead, now part of the dust which covered the city.

Many of the colossi found themselves in the streets, the towers looming above them. The wind then slowed, returning to a weak breeze.

Amphitrite shuddered as the Executor jumped into the ocean. It disgusted her to have him there, polluting her domain. She was glad that all her consciousness was here, and not scattered through the oceans. She knew she could not kill him outright without being close to him, but she could hinder his recovery.

"...Earthfather, I am well again. Do you know what that red lightning was? Was it Adtonitus? No, I don't believe that. The elements seem to be moving on their own accord..."

She looked down and noticed V, gathering his clones and taking some pride in his work. Smiling, she drew a small stream of water from the clouds and extinguished the small brush fires he left behind. She looked around for a bit, taking in the large towers that had been unearthed. Some were as tall as the colossi themselves, but most were tiny, maybe the size of V. She sadly remembered all the humans that had lived here.

After picking himself up from Executor's attack, Dreth looked over to where the fighting was taking place. It looked like most of the colossi were attacking the being of darkness, so Dreth figured there was no point in joining in. What intrigued him was the city ruins that the wind was begining to reveal.

Ruins? Just my kind of place!

Dreth began to move into the newly revealed ruins feeling much more at home.

Rusted cars, dead bodies, crumbling buildings; there is little I can do I can do to make here better. But there are some things that will speed up the process of decay...

With that Dreth's body began releasing more of his sludge and fumes into the ruins. Soon several blocks were in the midst of a corrosive fog and partly submerged in acidic muck.

Really?

The beast of darkness fled the battlefield before any flame had touched him. The fox was frustrated by this display. He took pride in his work and absolutely hated seeing it go entirely to waste.

There will be plenty of time to fight later. I guess this will have just been a warmup.

V reluctantly withdrew his constructs, pained by the wasted effort. The upside was that the practice was always good to have.

Without another word V quietly slipped away amongst the recently unearthed ruins of the city, taking note only of Ampitrite carefully putting out any stray flames.

I don't understand that one at all. She is truly unlike any creature I have crossed before. Idealism is hard to come by anymore.

A dark cloud was covering the streets. It was a noxious, choking gas. Decay was nearby and this display would not please the others. V moved swiftly away from the area, doing his best to remain undetected by all.
