I think it could work. I'm a fan of death metal and I've heard a song that was about what I think you're looking for:
"Comtemptuous" by Napalm Death (death metal/grindcore), from the album "Fear, Emptiness, Despair"

Another song--though it's more a Thrash metal band--is Coroner's "Grim 5 (No-Religion Remix)" from their "The Unknown Unreleased Tracks 1985-95" album.

There are no videos on Youtube and I'm too lazy to check anywhere else, but you should hear these.

Thought I'd throw a few clips in that might fit the bill, tho they may all be a bit on the 'light side' to be 'death techno', they're a decent blend of metal and electronica:

There's KMFDM as mentioned by Valiance, the Chun Li fight from the only good Streetfighter movie might be a decent example.

Pitchshifter's Genius, as seen in Test Drive 5.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7QTCaQS3zM is their harder, earlier stuff.

Lastly here's how not to do it, this is from the Spawn movie soundtrack, which had some good collaborations between metal and techno bands, but then had to do THIS to 'For whom the bell tolls' by Metallica.

Having said that, the Slayer track with Atari Teenage Riot certainly has something, with their version of 'No remorse'

I warned you!
I'd have mentioned Godlike if you are gonna mention KMFDM. Pitchshifter however are fucking sweet! I actually managed to get my hands on all of their albums finally, well, except Death Industrial, but that is really really limited.
