So we can have games where you can literally tear a man in half (hello, Darkness 2), but we can't have a game where two consenting adults have sex?
Your cavalier attitude towards the idea that so-called 'consenting adults' would willingly performing such a degrading and morally corrupt act such as sexual intercourse fills me with rage and disgust... and raging disgust. My good lady wife and I have never had sex, and god willing, neither will our two beautiful children when they too become adults.

You're just someone else who fails to get the distinction between 'A game with a sex scene in it' and 'a sex scene with some extraneous gaming elements'.
So...When do we start banning FPS games that are "violence porn with some extraneous gaming elements?"

Ugh, sex is absolutely disgusting, Valve had every right to stop this awful game from getting on Steam. The whole act of sex just makes me want to puke.

Now let's please forget about all this downright disgusting talk of sex and boobies and go play some extremely violent and brutal videogames. I think i'll play some Madworld tonight. God I love blood and slaughter in videogames, I really do. :)

another victory for pointless censorship, the only reason to "not sell" product x is because it's not very good. "because it contains something that might offend someone somewhere" is without question the rationale of a moron, maybe if instead of pandering to idiocy and prudishness some kind of age verification system was implemented (not fool proof, but seems adequate enough for every other adult material) the problem could be solved.

related side note; Perhaps if we focused more on quality control then censorship then we wouldnt have anywhere near the level of crap (across all mediums) that we have now

Seriously though, who wants to play such a boring game as this one?

hang on...........let me put on my derp face.

ok. DUH!!!!

Americans are prudes? Have you not seen how disgusting mtv is? true we don't have nude beaches and red light districts but in my opinion there's pretty valid health reasons for that. enough of that I just had take a shot back for that ever so stereotypical remark where when something doesn't happen in the U.S the way "you" want it to its time to throw on a diaper and QQ about how lame American's are. people are people wherever you go.

anyway, steam kicks out a racey game and its a shock? Gamers are pretty aware of what doesn't get allowed in Australia right? Or how South Korea (did? I didn't follow up the outcome) tried to shut down xbox live after 12 pm on school nights? ok so no sexy boom boom time allowed on steam isn't that what the internet is for? (prepare the sarcasm) I know, its so weird that companies want to protect their "reputation" and "public image." What prudes. :p

EDIT:
Not to mention, even if steam didn't give a damn. It's probably still a really crappy game that people would be ashamed to even be associated with.

So much potential completely missed because we jump to conclusions long before the game actually comes out.

The game is directed/created by a woman. Has anyone here actually EVER read a romance book written by women? They are racy, sure. But they have great tension, atmosphere, and character interaction that builds up to the moment of sexual intercourse. It makes the moments very erotic before any nudity is actually described. That writing in a erotic game that they plan to release on Steam itself already tells me there is a chance they were taking the game seriously. I would of LOVED to play such a game.

Did anyone here actually get to play a demo of the game? At all? To say that the game sucked because you played it? None that I can tell from the forum. So, a huge amount of people are judging a game from a minute and half video. Sure, cause all of us can tell how well a game is going to turn out from snippets of an entire game. -_-

Will I buy the game? Yes. The sex scenes will be a factor, but most importantly. If the game turns out to be well written like I expect from a romance novel written by women, than it will be worth a purchase.

I call BS on her claim; I have yet to meet a male American gamer who doesn't play at least 1 Japanese sim date every year.

There are over 5000 games on steam and not one of them is rated AO, did they think this was a fluke?

Seemed to be more like "50 shades of Gray - the Flash Game sold for 20$" to me.
And no, I still wouldn't want this game on Steam. Just like I don't want any other porn in my normal stores.

And people have SEEN gameplay - it was just simply porn.

This may be true, but the game didn't sound very interesting anyway. *shrugs*

OT:This is basically the same thing as every other flash game on the newgrounds adult game list, which means it could just be snubbed because its a boring, unoriginal concept put in a subpar wrapper.
That was exactly the impression I got based on the article as well. In fact, I was on my way to the reply box to post "put it on Newgrounds with all the other crappy dating sims" when I saw your post.

Basically this game sounds like it was less "a game that has sex scenes" like others mentioned in this thread like The Witcher and more a game where you play some minigames to get some animated porn. BIG difference between the two. It has nothing to do with Americans being prudes and everything to do with Steam being for actual video games rather than porn with mini-games.

Yeah, but they steal those off torrent, they don't pay for them.
