It's a perfect example of gamers shooting themselves in the foot. Lemme explain, because I find this hilarious.
When DMC4 came out, some of you may remember that fans were outraged because not only did the series not star Dante anymore, but Nero looked so much like him it raised the question of why replace him at all.
But now DMC is starring Dante again...and now he looks nothing like Dante...and once again people are complaining.
Game companies can't win.
But yeah, admittedly we don't have a lot of info. Maybe there's some secret twist where it's not actually Dante and it's a crazy guy, or a possessed guy, or who knows
I dunno if I'll buy it on release date, but once it gets knocked down to 20 bucks at Wal-Mart (as it inevitably will) I may pick it up
I don't see what's so difficult to get about designing a DMC game.
We want Dante, we don't want some random whiny new charatcer, and we don't want some horrific looking reboot.
We want Dante, wise cracking sword-wielding, badass. We want to kick ass in a stylish manner while listening to Dante be overly cocky to everything in his way.
If that's not what we get then we get pissed off... it's a lot more simple than people are making it out to be.
