So, is the development of BF3 still PC focused? I remember hearing a lot about that earlier on, now it's sounding like the console versions are a lot less hassle.

I have even less reasons to buy any game that's only on Origins now.

You can get all your games on the platform banned for simply entering the wrong server, which could easily happen by accident.

Things like these make me wish back the time before digital downloads.

It's a Beta, so understandable. If they pull this crap after release, they officially suck.
new clause in the EULA allows them to pull this crap after launch too. You can't sue them over it anymore.

Granted the EULA never holds up in court, but still they have something to fall back on XD

But this does sound like a Beta move so fair enough DICE, you best not pull this shit on launch!

Once the game goes Live will you be able to run custom servers then? because 128 man servers are the absolute shit in battlefield. Extremely intense, usually with more vehicle spawns to compensate. It'd be awesome.
Wow, that sounds HORRIBLE. Wanna know why? Half of everyone will STILL be spawn camping the jets.
Kick for runway camping. Easy enough.

isnt that stealing? if there taking away the games then its stealing.
No, it isn't stealing. If you agree to the EULA you get when you install Origin, they own everything you have on Origin, your EA account, and all your major organs.

All the other games people have on Origin? Oh Dice, you crack me up! That's a knee-slapper! Other games! Ha!

Looks like a grotesque over reaction to me. Okay you don't want people running on modded servers, fair enough. But it's a beta, even then, to dish out that much punishment for something so trivial that doesn't really damage them? That's a real dick move. How about you modify the game to detect these changes and disallow connections or at least hide them and stop acting like a bully.

All the more reason to only use Origin for the few games that you don't want to go without.

You're not going to attract many converts like this, EA. You've actually managed to make ME 3 questionable for me.

Be ready for even more announcements like this as BF3, ME3, and any other big release from EA continues to top the sale charts.

EA you bastards, have already managed to totally dull any and all excitement I had about either game - I will not be touching your products again unless you cut this crap out. And I have been supporting you since I played Road Rash and other sports sims on my damn 16-bit Sega, and every Need for Speed game in history.
