Yahtzee left the Australian politician's e-mail in his Demon's Souls edition of Extra Punctuation. Has anyone e-mailed him?
How sophisticated. I'm sure Mike appreciates that.Mr. Eff said:This was my message:
Dear Mr. Atkinson,
I have recently come across the information that you believe that only a small number of very zealous gamers would be in favour of the R18 rating of video games. While these decisions have no direct impact on me (as I am Canadian) I feel it is a mistake to deprive Australians of the benefits and enjoyment that some games provide.
While some games may appear to be mindless violence, there are plenty that encourage thought and creativity. Perhaps the best example of this is my favourite series, Silent Hill. Each entry in the series have earned Mature (17+) ratings due to mature content and violence. However, these games also feature interesting and complex stories, characters with unique personalities which we, the players can identify with, and amazing soundtracks. While I believe it is necessary to put restrictions on games, (such as ratings that prohibit the sale to minors) I also believe it is wrong to deprive people of entertainment and potential benefits that games offer.
I admire Australia as a country and a people, but I believe this would be a huge step in the wrong direction. Censorship is detrimental to democracy. Please consider my e-mail.
Thanks,

You're not 16 on the internet unless you admit it.rabidmidget said:I would but being 16, anything I say would probably be more detrimental to getting an R rating in Australia rather than helpful
That's not going to help give us an R18+ rating...darthcendiarygrenade said:Dear Mr. Atkinson,
I respect your right to have an opinion, but not your right to impose it on others. The "vocal minority" is telling you to SUCK IT.
Assuming he doesn't delete it as soon as he sees it's not from a constituent. Or, for that matter, as soon as he sees the subject. I can't see him having a lot of patience for this.Ekonk said:How sophisticated. I'm sure Mike appreciates that.Mr. Eff said:This was my message:
