Yes.
I am enjoying it.
It's a very solidly made western CRPG with very high production values and obvious care and attention lavished all over it. It's not blown me away quite as much as Planescape or Mass Effect - I instantly deduct a few points for being Tolkein-esque - but it's still not bad. They've managed to throw enough human motivations in to make the story interesting.
It's also good VFM. I'm 20 hours in and not nearly finished yet. It also looks like it has good replay value since you have the usual range of options. I'm being sort of amoral but nice enough to get into one characters pants (that's the replacement moral compass) this playthrough. I've also chosen to play as a rogue. I could go with an entirely different character and play as a total bastard next time out.
The story is fairly well done. On one hand it's a fairly generic fantasy world framework but at least they've tried to throw some depth in there by having racism and caste systems etc.
I can't work out what the elves are doing wrong off the top of my head but I keep wanting to punch them so there must be something. The actual writing is pretty decent especially for your party members. You'll have pretty clear favourites quite quickly and soon find yourself deciding who to roll around with based on who you like and who annoys you.
It's clearly meant to feel epic and I think they manage that. I haven't finished it yet so maybe the last act is terrible. We'll see.
The gameplay is satisfying. I like tactical games and I am really feeling like I am having to use tactics for some of these fights. I'm doing stuff like picking chokepoints and using cover to reduce incoming ranged fire.
On the other hand I am also gaming dumb MMO-like AI (e.g. carefully "pulling" one guy out of a room) so maybe that's a negative. The tactics system is pretty cool and lets you control your party without too much micromanagement.
Some of the fights are quite hard but by the time you've worked out a winning set of tactics you'll probably feel some sense of accomplishment for having beaten them.
As an RPG system I quite like this. Classes are broad and flexible.
If you can live with it being a bit generic, it's a very solid purchase.
