The funny part here is that 1) he's asking for a refund, which will never happen, and 2) he's just plain wrong. The PS3 version does have split screen online--I've used it! Basically, this fellow is an incompetent twit who has made my day much more amusing by his stupidity.

LOL!!!! What is this shit! If we were to refund EVERY shitty sequel that ever came out the video game industry would be buried 500,000 feet under in a matter of minutes!
Or at least the First Person shooter indsutry would be. Some of the biggest names in existence wouldn't exist if that was the case. And I suppose Sonic would be done with if that was the case. As would Lara Croft...and Samus. Huh, I didn't realize how few are left if you eliminate all of them with a bad sequel. Not even Mario would make the list.

Hell yeah man! Mario fucked up right on his second trip out. LOL (Matter of opinion, of course. Some motherfuckers on these forums would DIE for Mario...)

pfft, whimps don't even know what a glitch is. Back in my day if you had a problem on the PC you fixed it yourself. Now with the internet you can look it up so it will spare you the 5 hours of guess and check.

In all seriousness if they say glitches are clipping problems or frame rate randomly dropping then I have to say "suck it up".

I was talking more along the lines of Mario Sunshine, but ya, one way or the other, Mario wouldn't make the list. I can only name 3 or 5 games that have had sequels that I have yet to dislike. Jak and Daxter is on-(Remembers Jak and Daxter racing) never mind. Half-Life, Assassin's Creed, Kingdom Hearts, Rachet and Clank and maybe Bioshock would be the only ones to make the list in my opinion.

Well, at least it's not a PC gamer with the inflated sense of entitlement. They deserve it a lot more, but it's nice to spice up the headlines. Treyarc is addressing some of the bigger problems with patches, so we'll wait and see if this guy ever gets his fixes.

Well thats lame.
It does. This petition is just whining from someone who is imagining problems. Can't wait to see it crash and burn.

On topic: Oh Boo-hoo, cry me a river. If you want to complain about an actual broken game, try talking to Obsidian.

Seriously, owning a GameCube, this was the case with like every friggen game that came out (also usually the case with Wii, but at least I get my $10+ discount). Just accept that developers usually put their focus on 360 version because that's what sells better and read product reviews before you buy to make sure you're not getting a broken product. :p

322 signatures!? ACTIVISION HAS NO CHOICE NOW!

Lol, I always find this shit funny. Wouldn't it be hilarious is Activision gave in to this and refunded everyone? Seriously, it'd be the end of the world.

I have an honest question: is this the kind of person that plays CoD? I'm very much not into FPS's so I don't know much about the game, or its fanbase, but this is incredibly immature.

First teabagging and harassment in Halo. Now a whiny, inflated sense of entitlement in CoD. This isn't what we should be showing the world in regards to how gamers act.
Yes, because paying 120 dollars and expecting the same game across all platforms is being a whiny shit with an inflated sense of entitlement.

It might work for Walmart or Target, but Gamestop doesn't accept returns on new games unless they're defective. He'd get $20 bucks for it.
Five magic words: Can I see the manager?

Most game shops in the UK try to rip you off with the no returns schtick too. But if you're nice, polite, persistent and talking to the manager, you will get a refund eventually. S/He's the manager, S/He's authorised to do it and if you're polite eventually they'll do it just to get rid of you.

I disagree, it's the developers fault.

But let me clarify, they have the right to be MILDLY ANNOYED.

Making a petition is bat fuck insane.

I'd throw Gears of War up there for now. They haven't fucked that up yet. As for Kingdom Hearts... man I LOVE that shit, but the handhelds were eeeehhhhh. Ordinarily I wouldn't even count handheld titles, but these really string the stories together to a greater degree than any other handheld iteration of any game I can think of at the moment. CoM was ok, but 358/2 days was pretty boring until the very end.

Whiny-ass son of a *****. The PS3 version is fine, and technically when you think of it, Xbox players actually do pay more for it when you factor in the cost of LIVE. The PS3 version is inferior in one respect (one which is shared with the 360 version) due to its lack of dedicated servers. He's focussing on some stupid little issues that are barely noticable, he's the kind of over-privileged wank stain who thinks that every game made should fit his exacting standards perfectly, and this just seems like a way for him to get a free game.

The saddest part about all this is that there's a bunch more people out there who actually think the same as this idiot and believe they're entitled to a free game because of a few issues that weren't really in Treyarch's hands.

On top of all that, he's probably a camping noob too.

Has it occurred to anyone that the problem might be with the capabilities of the PS3 hardware?
You're kidding right?

The PS3 has the best hardware out of all the consoles. It's problem is it's complex architecture. Which means sometimes lazy developers port it from the 360 version (which is easier to make) and that leads to a whole host of problems later on.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but don't be a fanboy.
(To avoid confusion, I'm a new guy, not the one you quoted)

I know the PS3 has more powerful hardware, but I don't think it's the fact that the developers are lazy, it's that the PS3 is a labyrinth of unnecessary confusion and confounding functions that make it much harder than it needs to be for developers.

I don't know the specifics, but this was coming from my GSD (Game Software Development) professor who has a PHD (I can't remember exactly what she has a PHD in, because I'm not sure what PHD's are available that are related to Game Design, but I know for a fact it was relevant) so I'm inclined to believe it.

Not likely. The PS3 is apparently harder to program for, and so it ends up with shitty ports from lazy developers/third-party-port-guys.
thats how pc players feel with nearly EVERY game coming out like that... wish i had got black ops for my 360 instead of pc =/

Did he actually prove that the PS3 Black Ops had more bugs, worse graphics, or less features? I seen graphic comparisons and haven't seen the difference, the game has Online Split Screen, and Treyarh has been good to releasing bug fixes thus far.

The only guys that really any right to complain with evidence is us Wii guys who do have fewer features (we don't have the Pentagon Zombie map, Dead Ops Arcade, we are missing three killstreaks and the camera spike only 10 people multiplayer, no split screen) but we ain't complaining.

I don't have any consoles at all, so I'm certainly not a fanboy of any of them. But if the PS3 architecture is really as complex as people in this thread have been saying, and Black Ops is a complex game in the first place, I'm not really surprised that there were some things that didn't make it over in the transfer. Restriction in the hardware architecture is still restriction in the hardware, and PS3 owners should accept the fact that games which weren't originally designed to run on a PS3 are likely not to be as good as their original console counterparts.
