Considering that it's a sign that you are able to look after yourself (and thus a mate/offspring) I would say it's an attractive feature in a man. At least I hope so, I put some time in learning basic cooking tenets for this reason...

Does ANYONE like ANYONE who can cook?
It's a great skill to have and there is no shortage in how it can help ANYONE with a relationship, be it breakfast in bed, taking the responsibility out of another's hands when they're busy or have had a rough day... etc.
Honestly anyone who values good, marketable knowlege is completely bonkers. It's hating someone for a valuable skill.

Wow, really? Sounds a little to me like people are jealous that you can cook.
There are few things more attractive to me (a certified female, for the record), than a guy who can hold his own in the kitchen. Come to think of it, that's how my daughter happened. Hmm...

OT: Cooking is a good thing. I can't think of a single reason why being able to cook would be a bad thing for a guy to be able to do.
I can cook perfectly well, so it's not necessarily a requirement, but if a potential suitor could, it certainly wouldn't lose him any points.
Chef uniforms are kind of hot somehow. Aesthetically, I mean. I don't go chasing chefs.
I wouldn't mind it it as long as they don't make me feel pathetic or cook meat for me or have cooking/doing practical things for me as their main expression of love, because that would be awkward. I also might still have a few shreds of that awkward adolescent stage where eating in front of guys was embarrassing. I find nothing romantic about eating.
Being able to cook well is generally a sign of being resourceful, switched on, somewhat discerning about presentation, and being able to use your hands. Most people tend not to find those things unattractive.

what kind of girlfriends and friends do you have? It's very attractive to me cause when I get a job I can't clean up after your messes so if you could do that yourself huge turn on in my opinion.

Oh my god, yes. It's a great way to pick up chicks, too. Instead of taking her out for a first date, you can invite her over to your place to cook her dinner. I mean, come on! Movie and a dinner at your place is a lot more fun, to me at least, than going out and spending a lot of money on what could be mediocre food and an even more mediocre movie!
