Don't really like his music. IMO, he's seriously over-rated.
And I wish I hadn't pressed the red button x.x

I don't so much hate him, more so loath his music. He's about as awful as any other given pop product. I just go out of my way to avoid the music, seems the only reasonable course of action to me.

I dislike his work, but I don't know the guy. So I can't really say I hate him. I'm not too keen on his fan base, I guess.

Indifferent, I suppose. Though the comments about him all over Youtube are getting rather grating...

I feel as if most people who hate the guy are just jealous of his success, and jealous that he could get almost any girl he wanted, anytime he wanted no problem.

I dislike his music as it's just not my taste, but I'm completely neutral about the guy. After all, I don't know enough about him to just blindly hate him.

Nah, i don't hate him. He makes bad music and has a stupid haircut but that's no reason for me to hate him.

As a great man once said: "Who the f*** is Justin Bieber?"

I never heard of him until people started talking about how much they hate him.
Same here. One might think it was part of his marketing campaign.

Don't listen to him, and other than some disrespectful comments he's made I don't hate him, so no.

I don't hate him. I'm just really tired of him.

I don't like his music and when they make it so that you can't even get away from the guy then it gets annoying and i start screaming "Get away from me!" whenever i hear one of his songs and people just assume i'm a hater.

EDIT: Something i DO hate though is his haircut. Though i suppose that's just a matter of personal taste. It just hurts me to look at.(Which is why, after pressing the red button, i didn't come to the escapist for 24 hours)

I hate his music, and preferred if he let REAL stars shine but he sells, so hes contracted his soul to making money for the song company. Also, I hate his fans, all of them are to obsessed with him and bring him up every day, no matter the occasion. Hell, some want to MAIM their idol, do I have to say anything more? Its just he is so pointless, has no skill nor direction, my point, a 16 year old who can play 50 instruments perfectly with a great singing voice gets shelled out by a 16 year old with a terrible voice, motivation and lyric writer.

I hate the guy because he's been found on Youtube. There's hundreds, heck, even thousands of other people busting their asses to make good songs, dance numbers, and all that, and it's a fucking 16-year old who does covers of Justin Timberlake who gets to become popular. Oh,and also because his songs are shit and his fans are stupider than lemmings.
Some of his fans are like those troll lemmings who stop building the stair case half way so that all of their brothers can fall into lava. There are ones out there who will focus solely on maiming Beiber, and they call themselves fans.
And I agree with you, he gets to be popular idol, when he is the WORST candidate, almost to the point of Rebecca Black, and yet he gets it, he, out of THOUSANDS of people who can do this type of thing better, HE GETS IT!

That explains my point. I'd rather have ANYONE else have his spot that could actually play a instrument well instead of having him in the spotlight. He only knows singing, and isn't even good at that, let alone know how to play an instrument to its fullest.
Seriously, my problem, is this kid can't really contribute to music growing, only degrade it to cow manure. And on that topic, I don't want his place, I want someone who can actually contribute to music growing BEING FAMOUS!

Artists who actually have talent today are not being covered well, so just stop bringing up Justin Bieber, that half-talented prick that has no business acumen or lyric-writing skills whatsoever.
We need to talk about actual people who are advancing society through their works, like that guy: <url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Harbisson>http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/Neil_Harbisson_Cyborg.jpg
Yes, that guy can hear colours. And he's a fucking cyborg.

Who's Justin Bieber? My brain doesn't recognise the concept or name.
Is he this 13 year old who sings about concepts that make you feel uncomfortable because they're coming from a 13 year old's mouth? Oh wait... go to any old secondary school. Oh snap.

His music isn't that great, but there's been worse out there. But, all the people who actually *hate-hate* him, I have a hard time seeing why. There's far worse people out there in the World -- corrupt dictators, serial killers, idiot politicians, radical religious nutjobs, greedy businessmen who'll bankrupt a working-class family for the sake of the bottom line, irresponsible oil companies who pollute our oceans -- and you decide that a 17-year-old (albeit an arrogant one, but at that age, that's normal) is the one who needs hating-on...

Also, my respect-points for him went off-the-charts when he sang as part of Young Artists for Haiti (a Canadian charity collaboration to help out with the Haiti earthquake). If it doesn't bring a tear to your eye, then you are a hard, hard man:

TLDR: Even if you don't like his music (perfectly understandable), I have a hard time understanding how Justin Bieber warrants an emotional opinion as strong as "hate."
Okay, fair enough. I don't hate him anymore; i have much more respect for him now, but I still do hate his music. Nothing personal, but it is really pretty damn awful, lol.

Not particulary, I hate listening to her music and teens singin' along and such. But it's no different than many others (believe me, much, much worse) music trends out there.

But I have to admit Bieber jokes are preety funny. :p

You know how major record labels sign some very good artists, even though they know that their records will only be bought by a niche audience? You know why that happens? It's because a producer with good taste believes that these artists deserve to be heard, and deserve to earn a living from their craft. Now, that's not a viable business strategy. it will lose money.

But..

Major acts like Bieber pull in millions, which eventually filters down to the better, lesser-known musicians.
Even ignoring the fact that it would be absurd to hate a kid who I've never met, and who's clearly only doing what he loves [despite how objectively awful the results are], the Justin Biebers of this world make bands like Opeth, HRSTA and Radiohead possible.

No doubt, man. I hate his music too. And I used to be a total hater too, until I found out about what he did as part of Young Artists for Haiti. Then I took a step back and started asking myself questions about whether or not it was fair that I was hating on him just because of his music, and whether or not being a creator of shit music means you deserve hate when there's so much worse stuff happening out there.

I don't hate Bieber himself, but I do hate his managers and such. Why?
The boy has talent, but they're misusing it. By forcing him to be the kind of pop star that prepubescent girls will fall for, they're preventing him from trying other kinds of music that he could potentially be better at.
Just saying. He's got potential; I just wish he could utilize it.
