hmmm. not really, and anything i want to i can ask my uncle(i don't have pakistani blood but my dad's sister married him so he is my uncle), and he isn't like the stereotypical pakistani man either, with the strictness or anything, every time i see him i'm standing up, and he always offers me a seat, unlike the stereotype

How far could I get by with newspaper-level Gulf Arabic?

I'm aware of loanwords into Urdu, but not entirely sure how far that'd get me.
