Whatever, just wash your hands.
I tend to watch it every week, I find them entertaining and insightful even if they do tend to be a bit heavy on the "games can save the world thing".

Not really, but I do like to catch up on their shows from time to time. I always found them to be very insightful.

Nah, The Jimquisition (and occasionally The Game Overthinker) fills my need for insightful commentary on gaming culture better than Extra Credits.

I enjoyed it when it was here, but... frankly I don't give a fuck who was in the right or wrong in that whole controversy. Fact is when I was banned from a non-gaming forum I had been active member of for years, I kinda moved in and set up shop here. I like escapist. I like the rules of escapist forum, were we can essentially talk about anything and it's exceptionally hard to break the rules here.

its silly I know but I have a degree of brand loyalty here. So fuck Extra Credits.

I do. I know it's Wednesdays, which I'd like to be Thursdays, because Zero Punctuation is on Wednesdays, and my week is filled with Jimquisition TBP, Escape to the Movies, and ZP and EC, but nothing for Thursday.

But I still watch it because it's awesome and important, as ever!

You... could frequent more than one website? On top of PA they also have their own website, and they upload their new episodes onto Youtube with one or two weeks delay compared to the Blip.TV upload for PA/their own site.

I still enjoy their show and find it mostly insightful (except this week's episode, as a European most of the stuff said didn't apply to me, but hey, perhaps for another episode). So yes, I still look forward to Wednesdays so I can enjoy the next episode.

And I can't watch their show anymore without feeling that it was tainted by the whole very immature drama they had over the internet.
This.
Also, i come to the Escapist for ALL my gaming news...I can't be assed trawling more than one site.

EDIT: Why is my poll constantly dissappearing?

OT: I watched exactly two episodes after they left the site and since then I have just dropped it. I watched it because it was here, not because I enjoyed every episode. In the end I delegated my time to the other webshows I watch regularly.

I still watch there stuff. I enjoy it for the intellectual stuff, even if they sometimes get a bit preachy.

I follow them all the time, it is a nice break from every person talking about video games being completely crazy. I like serious talk about serious issues. If you are a child and can't function without the person going "Squirrel" every 30 seconds then maybe you need to stop eating paint chips.

Not really. I never was into it when it was on this site.

I only watched it when my brother watched only to counter what they say. For a long time, his argument was also their argument.

I don't mind high-brow stuff every once in a while, but it goes....unnecessarily high brow sometimes. Bringing up irrelevant issues that are clearly only a matter of style preference (jrpgs and wrpgs) and talking about it like its a social rights movement. I don't watch it because I get a feeling of "ok, yes, we GET IT" and it really irks me. Like a child being talked down to because you screwed up, yet the parent doesn't really have a lesson to teach, just a slap on the wrist. I'm not a jerk on the internet, I don't troll, and I don't irrationally stereotype.....so what else am I going to do to help gaming exactly? Most of these game issues stem from developers and publishers.

Its a good instructional series if you are an idiot who doesn't "get" gaming as a hobby or are some greedy gaming publisher, but if you have half a brain......it seems like agreement for the sake of agreement. Aka...circle jerking, which The Escapist is all too familiar with.

Not saying its bad, I'm just....above the messages, as I already get them.

Hey I know I'm slow on the uptake, but what exactly was this 'fiasco' that everyone keeps alluding to? I went on vacation and came back and couldn't find EC on the Escapist anymore; it confused me. Someone explain, I thought everyone seemed to like the show while it was on :/

OP: I sometimes watch them still on their own site. I usually really appreciate the stuff they have to say. I was kind of uncomfortable with James's game addiction monologue though, strange way to put a point across I guess.

I love Extra Credits. When the aforementioned fiasco happened, I thought it was gone forever. Then I discovered via one of these threads that it still existed on Penny Arcade.

I like watching it because it's a very informative and well-written show. They sometimes get too optimistic in my view, but their arguments are nonetheless well-constructed.
