I will be playing video games for so long that my grandchildren will have the privilege of pulling me away from the TV screen. I won't stop until I'm dead.
That and how, if you get banned from the site, you lose all the games you paid money for. It's also been kind of a hassle to actually purchase them, sometimes. My copies of BioShock, BioShock 2, and Psychonauts still never came through on Steam.verdant monkai said:I know what you mean I dread digital downloads, nothing can beat a hard physical copy. What if your memory unit gets lost or your data gets wiped? All that money you spent on games pissed down the toilet, that and it will be much easier for developers to take the piss if everything goes digital.krazykidd said:Yes . Well no no technically . But once games become Digital download only i will stop buying new games . That being said , i understand why DD is the next logical step and why people like it . But i for one love having physical copies of my games . When that is no longer possible then and only then will i quit . But not entirely ,more like i'll retreat to retro gaming . I'll buy games for previous generation , and replay all 300 sum games i currently own .
Have you contacted Steam support and/or checked on the Steam forums? Were you charged? Did you get email receipts?Lugbzurg said:That and how, if you get banned from the site, you lose all the games you paid money for. It's like I never even clicked them. The best I could do was ask how to remove them from my cart, which took them about four days to respond to (and type only one sentence). I was very ticked. I wanted to buy Serious Sam 3: Deluxe Edition while it was on sale. Why would it take so long to write one sentence?Woodsey said:Depends. At the moment we seem to be trending back to stuff that has a modicum of intelligence, so hopefully not.
Should we just keep being given more and more linear, more and more scripted stuff, then I would drop it out of disinterest, not because I'd grown too 'mature' for the medium itself.
