Doesn't look all the bad. The girl Scout looks cool. But yeah, it is extremely influenced by TF2.

This does have striking resemblance to the Team Fortress 2 however this is just a trailer and we don't know if they actually rip off upon the creators of TF2.

It actually looks very interesting. I don't care if it is a direct rip-off of TF2. It looks fun, and will probably be worth a rent. I especially like the large amounts of blue liquid. :p

I consider it part of the newly created genre of Cartoony Team Shooters. TF2 with anime girls in skirts? WINWINWIWNWIWNIWNWINWINWIWNWINWIWN!

Granted the scenes did look like direct knock offs. But I guess you can say that about most action movies, which is why I don't watch them. (Not direct ripoffs in action movies, but generic-ness.)

Everything's a rip-off these days. We even have excuses like "All the best ideas are stolen" and "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery".

If anything, it's more of a rip-off of the film Small Soldiers.
Oh Small Soldiers... My childhood is rushing back... To the video vault!

I wasn't going to say anything but "an embarrassment to the Korean game industry"? Are you ignoring MMOs or do you consider those thousands of meaningless games that are all bland copies of each other to be competent gaming?

That said, copying games is idiotic and hurts the gaming industry in general.

And this my friends is why I hate most of the crap the Korean gaming industry throws out.

Anyone remember the Army Men games? The "TOYS BEATING EACHOTHER TO DEATH" art style has been done before in a game, and done well in a funny way.

Not sure if it's a full blown rip off till we see gameplay but there's a lot of similarities in there at the moment.

I'd still buy it... if only because I wouldn't be FORCED to sign up to Steam to play it.

Perhaps Valve deserve to be ripped off.

Yet it is funny about H.A.V.E.'s comment, which is kinda like saying "don't rip into it, until you've given us your hard earned money to play it."

They should've just created a character\audio mod and sold it through steam or through retail in a pack with TF2 (though they would need to sublicence it first or something).
Why reinvent a perfectly functional, award-winning, hugely popular wheel?

As for the market opportunities, gamers of the East (and japanophiles of West) LOVE their anime chicks and would no doubt LOVE to have them in TF2 -- there's already so much fanart of TF2 characters as girls to prove it.

It might be a blatant rip-off of TF2, but I'd be lying if I said that it didn't look like fun.

I notice a lot of similarities - The minigun noise is the same, there's a double-jumping class armed with a baseball bat, the class with the grenade launcher has an eyepatch and has very similar looking explosives, but I'm going to wait until the thing comes out and I can look at the actual game before I go and yell out over the rooftops how it's a ripoff.
Even if it is, I still prefer TF2. :3

Who cares? Every game rips off every other game now a days. If the game is TF2 with a fresh new face and a brand new set of levels and funness then I am down. TF2 was amazing, it was fun and great, I spent many hours on it.

If it is inspired by it, then maybe it'll have TF2 fun with a few new surprises.

If it's not, well hey new game to play. Maybe they made the trailer look that was on purpose, you know what they say, contreversy sells!

This was obviously a marketing technique to put korean games on the map.Im very dissapointed that someone whould take a game and trailer and almost directly copy it. The game could be a mod thats how much it resembles it

I'm going to wait until it comes out. It will probably suck but who knows; it might turn out decent.

Having blind men touch elephants?

They're more perverted than I thought.
I always hated that quote. It assumes a blind man can't take longer than 5 seconds to feel around an elephant and will automatically think it's only it's trunk, tail, ears, or some bullshit like that. You would think someone who is blind would be patient enough to feel the whole thing, it might take them awhile but they'll figure out what it is shaped like.

Agreed!

Though ripoffs are common...a little TOO common

Anyone remember a little game called Ruff Trigger? And put it along side Ratchet and Clank...THERE YA GO.

But really whatever xD I'm digging the anime look...though I had to do a double take because one of the characters there strangely reminded me of Haruhi Suzumiya o.o

I thought it looked similar when I stumbled across it the other day, but seeing that comparison video. I'm amazed at how how copied it seems.
