I don't ever dance for fun, only if I am dancing with someone else and even then thats rare. I can't dance to save my life.

I would say that counts, there's not a whole lot else to do at rock concerts than that or jumping around. It feels as a legitmate expression of the music as anything else.
Okay, then I do dance.

It's a weird dance, but apparently, it's a dance all the same.

You don't know headbanging until you've tried to do it to this.
Wow, that would be an intense headbang. I feel like I might have brain damage if I tried it.

Well, it's been established that headbanging counts. But other than that, not where anyone can see it.

No, if I dance my knee, neck and shoulder go into jerk around in pain phase and I have to take pain medication.
Yes, I am quite the nerd, thank you.

Hell. No. Closest I've been was headbanging, and nearly got whiplash. And a wedding, but I won't count that.

Me and group of my friends used to dance amazingly cheesy in the so bad it's good fashion. Pulling out the fishing rope and dragging each other across in front of a lot of people, this weird move I can't describe without it sounding gay and a few others.

But there were more of us than there were other people, so the people that didn't join in were the lame ones. >.> honest...

Either way it was hilarious till we got bored and they only come out on special occasions now, or if someone looks like they need to be served.

I do know how to dance, sadly I couldn't find a girl to dance with short of paying them so I never get to put my skills to the test.

Uhh...

I shuffle? In an embarrassing way xD

And yeah, ones that everyone knows, like Time Warp or the Maccerena (sp?)

But otherwise no, I really can't dance, although I'd like to learn >_>

I can't imagine myself dancing... I'd be so nervous that I'd end up doing the "Milking the cow while needing to take a piss". Just try and imagine that.

i only dance in vclubs when i'm pissed, and i learnt how to dance from my (female) american flatmate so i move my hips a lot and look like some sleazy backing dancer got trapped in a fat guy's body :p

I don't usually like dancing, although I sometimes have the urge to do so, primarily as a means to (hopefully) entice the opposite sex. But then on the rare occasions I succeed, I realize I've attracted some skeevy guy I really don't want around me!

Permit me to indulge in an observation on "nerds" and dancing: This got me to thinking back on my times in college where I was exposed to the greatest number of opportunities for dancing, as well as observing others dancing, and I realized something. All of the nerdy/geeky guys I know have an aversion to/are terrible at what I'll call the "freestyle" dancing that everyone does at casual places like clubs, but these same guys seemed to take refuge in dances they could study and learn the prescribed moves to, such as waltz or swing. It seems like even nerdy guys who, perhaps, defy the stereotype and enjoy dancing, actually confirm it by only enjoying the types of dancing that are less mainstream today. I mean, swing and ballroom and what have you, all have lots of enthusiasts but they're not how the average person dances anymore. I think this says something about what sets nerds/geeks/etc apart. Or I'm trying too hard to find a pattern.

For me, the only dancing I do is the Awkward Shuffle and that includes times of extreme intoxication.

I was in a showchoir for 7 years, so I both sang and danced. I don't dance anymore though - I tell everyone that I require choreography as my excuse, ha ha!

OT: The time warp or caramelldansen when hyper, yet sober, spastic arm flailing and random ass-grinding when drunk.

I'm white so no I don't dance.
This, while very true in a lot of cases, feels like a cop-out to me. Its like some of my female friends blaming their blonde haircolor when they do something a little stupid when doing those things is a natural part of the human condition.
