Fake. Real assassin's have their finger chopped off.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon and quoting you too because everyone else did it in the 4 pages of this thread.

OT: I don't know what more to say than "fucking sweet!" And that is coming from some one who never played AC.

It's the Renaissance style hidden blade. Engineered to allow for fingers. Or... not engineered to cut your damn finger off.

You can bet your asses that some Al-Qaida supporter somewhere in the middle east ought to be saying "Now, that looks interesting..."

We live in a crazy world, I guess.
I doubt any al-qaida supporter would be caught dead on the "western infidel's" internet, much less taking terrorism tutoring from a kid on youtube.

OT: That's pretty badass, I wanna send it to a guy I know who works at Home Depot
there are al-qaeda supporting videos on youtube and plenty of jihadi sites about.
seriously imagine some arabic looking guy trying to casually saunter through an airport strapped to his wrist though, i don't think he'll be making it very far past the metal-detectors.

Is it legal if I replace the blade with an airhorn?
See this is an idea I like.

Jumping from the rooftop, arms splayed, ready to strike.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

Airhorn Creed
The only way it could be worse is if it were a vuvuzela...

OT: This could actually become extremely useful if you replaced the highly illegal part with something like a fork or a spoon.

Also, for anyone who cares, it's actually called a bulldog clip.

What? I'm a teacher, I need to know these things.
Dude, I love your avatar. It's so cute.

Now someone needs to create and upgraded version which can be used for self defence. Maybe have it so it can have a cover that can be removed or can be taking apart and placed in sheaths around your body and easily reassembled.

The secret of the Assassins Creed... a small paper clip.
Does this mean McGuyver was a secret assassin?

Seriously though, I'd wear it. I already carry an illegal knife, what's one more?

It would be weird though: what would they say? That it's inspired by the game? It certainly is, but how would they protest?
"My son has lost a finger because of your game!" Unless the game itself, disc, box, whatever, held him down and cut off his finger, I'd say it's his own fault.
Ahh! your making the classic mistake of applying logic and reason to it.

the weird thing is that it would probably be legal if you replace the blade with a gun
It would be 100% legal as long as you had conceal carry permit. It's weird how "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." is more often told as "the right to bear arms" but actually means "the right to carry a gun"

The interaction of politics and law are just amazing.
whats weirder is that it keeps being associated with private gun ownership despite the fact that a militia is now worthless since military tech is much to powerful to allow private ownership of, at least by regular citizens... I want to own a tank

A Hidden Blade that doesn't require one to lose a finger to use? You do realise that puts this boy on the same level as frikkin' Leonardo Da Vinci in the Screedverse and even he had a detailed set of instructions.
