Don't tell me this doesn't send shivers down your spine.

Oh god...I think a new Creepy Thread is starting to form...That story was pretty creepy. I think I'll be a bit more careful online...well, more so than usual.

Pretty well told story and comment on the nature of the internet. I did get a shiver, but that's because as soon as he mentioned yellow I went back and paused it at the note and deciphered line by line, much scarier than when they did it for you.

A damn good story made obviously fictional by the treasure hunter, not unlike many urban legends or dramatizations. There was a brief spell of a chill near my spine, and as a result I'll happily spread the story around if only because it's the season for spooky stories.

That story definitely was eerie, I know when the yellow letter massage appeared I had chills. Thanks for making me a bit more afraid of meeting anyone who might be on the internet.

That was really well done. It reminds me of something else I watch regularly.

I don't get it, whats creepy about a guy on the porch? No sound so I assume he knocked, otherwise why would he go out there

It wasn't oh dear god creepy but I really enjoyed it. I liked how they were up front about it being about a murder, and the narrator really gave it a Pushing Daisies vibe, with a sort of clever, cheerful cynicism. Made my day to say the least.

I'm really trying to get into MarbleHornets but I don't understand why it's starting off as a mystery. Why was he unnerved by the tapes (he'd have been better off being distracted and forgetting about them), what's he even looking for leads for? The user hasn't discovered a mystery at this early point (where I am in the story). The best things like these start off normal then the user gets freaked out by something crazy in the material and starts investigating. Or at least it should start off with something worth investigating. Kind of a shame it's so sloppy on the user end, because the camera work and editing is otherwise fantastic.

Do you know what that "guy" on the porch is?

I looked a little bit into it, so its supposed to be the slenderman, but it just looks like a guy in a suit

People thought the slender man thing was real too, eh?
I knew that was fake before I started watching that one good video about it, and it still creeped the living daylights out of me.

This wasn't that creepy though, but still very well made. That ending came so sudden, yet it wasn't so out there that it wasn't believable.

Wasn't scary but it was damn entertaining. I love treasure hunt stories like this!

I really wish Fortress could continue that story with one last video. No problems, though.

Just turn around and ask him yourself.

I enjoyed the story. I thought it was creepy, but enjoyable. I don't believe that it is real though, however, the narrator did a great job setting the mood.

I knew how that was going to end as soon as that pardoner's take (or whatever it was) was brought up. I mean the fact that this Al1 person was using A Pardoner's Tale as a clue had to mean something. And as it turns out, I was right.

Also proof that monsters and huge budgets are not needed for true creepyness. Just good story telling. And a creepy premise.
Alred Hitchcock proved that YEARS ago.

I LOVE stories like this, always far more interesting to me than 'BOO HERE'S A MONSTER/MURDERER/ALIEN JUMPING OUT AT YOU LOL BOO'

I read something similar a while ago about the journal of a kid on the Animal crossing island and that too was creepy and awesome.

Anyone else know any creepy tales like this?

Cool story but ... not THAT scary. I was expecting some massive twist the way everyone in this thread is going on. But not bad.
