Nah! Fox News posted this. Then some rare person at Fox News with a inkling of self-respect and intelligence decided that was going too far and they blamed the incident on hackers.

Seriously, who calls themselves "Script-Kiddies"?

What kind of idiot would believe that Fox News and Twitter were any sort of reliable information on the matter? The President shot on Independence Day? Yeah right. I think alot more people would be saying it too if it were even remotely true, like...everyone. You know, everyone? As in reliable broadcasts and not the 2nd-rate newscasters and some twit on twitter? I wasn't even aware of this until...right now, actually, which just proves that it's a load of shit.

I think it would be mildly amusing if the government took this as planning by the hackers to kill the president, and taxed on the appropriate harshness to their sentence.

(before THAT guy throws a massive hyperbole over this, I'm joking.)

Remember kids, making death threats about the President of the United States of America is illegal. Another fun fact: Obama gets around 12,000 death threats a year since he's been in office (of course this has been disputed by some sources).

God damn it!
...
Not for the lack of death of President Obama, I meant for the continuation of hacking. Just... stop. Fox or not, it's getting old.

Caught this on the BBC News feed this morning. Was a laugh. Wouldn't have believed it coming from Faux News even if it wasn't the work of hackers.

I'd just say "*headdesks*" but it would probably get a low content warning.

If there is one lesson to be taken from this, it's that sourcing your information from Twitter can be hazardous to any valid conception of reality you might have.

I'm going to be counting off the seconds until one of you says the same about Fox News.
About 420 seconds (wow, interesting number). I was actually expecting it to be SOONER than that (I mean, it's not like it's false).

I didn't even know that he had been "assassinated" this is first I've heard of the whole story. Suppose we are a little slow over here in England with news outside our own country.

It's a conspiracy! A coverup! Obama was assassinated and replaced! Only FOX News knows the truth, Wake up Sheeple! It's obviously the Socialist Democrat Facist corporations plot to institute a puppet government to take over America.

It would have been better if the hackers posted some satirically extremist views that Fox can be said to endorse, and see if anyone noticed the difference, something like "Obama's failure to deal with illegal immigrants is leading to a second civil war. America must prevail against the communist Hispanics and Mexicans"

Or simply, "We are _____ and we have hacked Fox News' Twitter feed. We were going to write some horrible, insane, racist things, but realised we couldn't beat the crap that is aready posted here."
