For everyone mentioning The Witcher, it was definitely an influence on Dragon Age (as was Aristotle, George R. R. Martin, and The Faerie Queen).

OH GOD YES, it could only come from Bioware, the perfect choice system...

I WAS BROUGHT ON THESE GAME ALREADY, but it just seems so good...I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CHOICE...Hmmm, I think I may end up preordering the games collectors edition, I want it so bad.

Already had it preordered simply because it was Bioware. They are one of two studios that have never let me down.

I have high hopes for this and Alpha Protocol. Both seem to be using a similar style of moral ambiguity, which considering that Obsidian is made up of a bunch of Black Isle expats is not much of a shock.

Sounds good. Bioware is definitely taking moral choice systems in the right direction. We saw that in Mass Effect and now it looks like DA will expand on it even further.

I've been looking forward to this game for awhile now and every new bit of information makes me a little more excited. Well, expect for that getting pushed back announcement.

Where is the "Stuff you pockets with holy man's ashes - Just in case" option?

-Destroy the ashes and your buddies
-Keep the ashes there and risk losing it to the evil ones, but keep all your buddies
-Take all the ashes with you - no risk in losing it to the evil ones, infinite supply of healing stuff, and a few of your buddies might be able to settle with that idea.

But I suppose those choices are slightly better than most others. I'm looking forward for Dragon Age, anyway.

I'm trying to do my usual not believing all the hype, not getting excited in case it turns out to be shite routine. It's not working, damn it all. The game looks too good, like it'll be too much fun.

Yay, another obvious black and white "moral" decision with easily foreseen consequences gets pimped as the new s$#t, great.

Bioware cannot do anything more complex than a simple black and white choice. But they can and will jump hoops just so they can present it as something new

Did you read the article? It didn't exactly sound like a black and white choice to me.

Sounds very promising to me - I enjoyed playing the Witcher and Mass Effect very much, looking forward to the new moral challenges of Dragon Age : Origins.

You don't think a few folks just might take issue with you shoving the singlemost important icon of their religion in your rucksack?

Seriously, how is that black and white?

BioWare is the ONLY company that seems to understand how to recreate the feeling of actual difficult decisions in a game environment. Now I wish Bethesda would study them and implement some of their concepts in their games and that Obsidian had paid closer attention to Baldur's Gate when designing Neverwinter Nights.

Oh yeah? To steal a holy artifact or not to steal a holy artifact? One can add all kinds of "but" to it, it won't change the essence of a choice - bad[steal] or good[not steal]

Edit 1: Oh yeah, and "kill a few, save a thousand" is just as overused and cliche as "with great power comes great responsibility"

I hope this works how it says it does, it sill sounds pretty black and white, just with more consequences, hear me out. The example they give you in the game is that there is the dragon blood thing, there are many effects of your consequences which are stated in the article, but it still sounds like it's either use the blood to revive the king, or don't. Is it just me seeing this? Anyway I don't want to knock the game in any way it looks superb and i'll definatly be picking it up regardless

Looks like someone played themselves a little bit of The Witcher.
One of the few games that did choice and consequence right. Some of the others were Fallout 1&2, Planescape and Arcanum.

Good gods I can't wait for this. Only...PC, or console? Can my PC handle it?
If it can't, the only answer is to upgrade it. I daresay that for a game like this, there'll probably be a solid modding community. Maybe not the size of the Elder Scrolls/Fallout 3, but still sizeable nonetheless. Wouldn't want to miss out on all those delicious mods now, would you? :p
Hah, if only I could upgrade it again. No no my friend, sadly I can't, the new PS3 will slurp up all available money. If only they would give an estimate of the system specs, that'd make me happy. Well maybe someone here can give me a rough guess, my system is:
CPU: AMD 6000+ 3.1 Ghz dual core
GPU: GeForce 8800GT 512MB (an oldy, but hopefully a good one)
RAM: 3GB

It's all supposed to run on 1920X1680 on the highest possible settings. If I can't do that: console it is.

Except Steal also has save the dying king which could potentially rally more people to your aid, inspire your troops and give you all healing powers. Not steal leaves the Urn more vulnerable to it being stolen by the bad guys, which is decidedly bad.

It's blatantly not a black and white choice.

Edit: Double quoting=my fail.
