You go out of your way to buy things that you THINK will piss off a group whose numbers are greatly exaggerated even though the very idea of pissing off anyone by buying a game is very much ridiculous? Well different strokes for different folks I guess.

Actually, I've known about it since last year before it was even canned then picked up by Atlus. The first parts just a joke but knowing how overreactive some people get...

I really don't get the Amazon.... I mean, her legs don't look muscular. They look like she's very fat in extremely odd proportions, and muscular in other places. I mean, sure different strokes for different folks, but this weird amalgamation of super muscular upper half, and oddly cellulite looking fat legs is disturbing.

Yes I understand that she's SUPPOSED to look like she has hulk legs, it just looks like fat legs. If you want to make her look super stylized and muscular, go for a female body builder, that's fine. She looks like an abomination from Frankenstein's lab.

OT: I love Vanillaware's design, both in gameplay and visuals (seriously, Muramasa is like a painting in motion and a very good beat em up to boot, go play it.) so I'm super excited for this, controversy be damned. Also I think this needs to be said more often in relation to said controversy: lol Kotaku.

dude Im playing through muramasa now! Its amazing and I cant wait for this game!Im gonna have a hard time choosing between the fighter the dwarf and the amazon.

question. anyone find odin sphere hard to get into after muramasa? the action in muramasa is just so much tighter than in odin sphere.

I'm still hooked for the Sorceress, but the Amazon looks pretty sweet as well.

I fear I'm going to have to spend a lot of money to get my hands on this using a NA PS3. I'm not going to wait for the EU release if it's another [x] months down the road.

I do kinda wonder how people that call this "hyper-sexualized" would react to some of the Skyrim mods out there (came across a beauty the other day that gives the Talos statue in Whiterun a massive erection).

When you mention "hyper-sexualized" I'm really kinda expecting SM outfits, whips, porn-like moaning and strap-on unlockables (strap-onlockables?) that can be used for 'special' attacks.

hyper is often used as a term meaning 'larger than normal' when it comes to porn.

Well yeah... that's my point. 'Hyper' images are supposed to be crazy. These pictures aren't really crazy, at least not in the sexualization department.

I mean what do we really have? One gal with rather huge breasts and another gal with a chain bikini and a rather small head. And that's about it... It's sexualized for sure, but as far as that goes it doesn't even come close to hyper unless your idea of normal sexualization is a peek at a woman's ankle.

Huh, seeing just the concept art threw me a bit off-guard but watching the way they animate in game combined with their combat abilities...this looks like CRAZY good fun!

Can't wait to pick it up, I've always been playing mage-esque classes in RPG's/MMO's so I hope the sorceress kicks ass

Trust me, if it's anything like Odin Sphere or Muramasa, this game will be the best thing to throw all your love, sympathies and monies at, especially if you feel like having been left out in the cold ever since the original Golden Axe or Capcom's Dungeons and Dragons titles fare... AND you'll be able to play it on modern machines without hassles, AND it looks like they even went for some excellent 4-player action, as well.

An excellent 4-player beat-em up and cut-em down? Why, that instantly feels like Golden Axe 2, Tower of Doom or Shadows over Mystara. Go Vanillaware!

I don't mind intelligent people bringing socio-economic issues to the table, but spitting and frothing all over my sugar-glazed tits-and-ass shaped donut before I even smell it is not something I am willing to swallow.

These folks ain't no white friggin' knights. More like hungry hungry depraved flies, buzzing around in buzzword clouds, thinking in loops, causing a ruckus, a whole lot of noise and a general mess wherever they lug their big brain to.
