I would probably befriend one. If that dragon could teach me ancients ways and point to me hoards of treasures then we would get on really well. Having the voice of Sean Connery would be a plus.

Yeah... If it's a Chromatic Try to slay it. However I'd much rather just not even try to slay it cause Dragons are truly frightening to fight. Played a campain recently where a Ancient Green Dragon stumbled across our army crossing a forest and it destroyed 60% of the troops in our squad... the 2 other squads that were with us had 90% of them wiped out. Didn't even engage it we just did a tactical retreat.

Now I'd try to befriend a Metallic Dragon or a gem dragon however still a hard task since why would a dragon of such age even bother with an ant. You really have to get them young as an egg if you want to even try to befriend one. The older they get the harder it is.

Depends whether or not it was aggressive towards me. If it wanted to be friends then hell yes, but if it attacked me I'd try to kill it and probably fail.

But Blue and Green Dragons are Lawful Evil, they won't just murder you for no reason. Black White and Reds are Chaotic Evil those, fuckers will eat you for no reason.

Uh... Wouldn't it be pretty difficult to befriend a dragon? Even if we assume it is metallic, it would STILL be notoriously haughty. If it didn't see you as a threat, it would most likely view you as an irritating moron, not worth its time or further thought.

You know, with dragons thinking that they are superior to all other creatures?

As for shapeshifting into other beings and going at it, isn't that more due to them being bored, and wanting a way to kill some time, rather than doing so out of love for the other partner?
