I have zero expectations for this game. I'm not hyped or excited for it. However; I'll likely give it a rent because I like games that don't take themselves too seriously. I'm glad that they can make fun of themselves.

I wonder if the pre-orders from 12 years ago are still valid.

I'm on it. The graphics aren't even bad...I mean the animation for the twins was a bit stiff but that's it. This thing is happening folks, let's be thankful.

Though to be honest I don't have a huge amount of hype for this game right now, but I'll take it anyway.

I dont dare to watch the gameplay. The fact that its coming out on consoles makes me extremely sceptical. This has been the holy grail of pc gaming to me for so long.
Duke Nukem was ported to the PS1 and N64...

Also, we are talking about Duke Nukem. Not Half Life.

I sware unless there is a level where I am cooking on the moon or a scene where Dukes Daughter dry humps his leg, I'm not buying it!

The countdown is on!

No, not to the release date. Rather to the infamous message: "Duke Nukem Forever has been cancelled. YET AGAIN."

Srsly, I think think this game is to a developer what salt is to a leech.

Can I pre-order it yet? Last time I checked, most retailers didn't have it registered.

looks like a good action game, and it's got a good sense of humour, which is always a big plus when playing a game.

True, but Duke Nukem was released for ps1/n64 well after its pc release. And as such was "made for pc" first and foremost. I'm just afraid they will ruin the game to make it "consoleable".

I'm at a loss for words. They should have sent a poet.
I mean I will hold off my judgement until I have actually played the game, but do you really think based on the gameplay video it deserves this much praise? It was so...average.

How exactly is that possible?

The way I see it, 'consolification' as some people like to put it is when a game suffers or lessens in quality as a result of going from PC to console. From the looks of it, Duke Nukem wouldn't suddenly be worse because it's on an Xbox or PS3.

As a matter of fact, not very many games have been 'ruined' for the 'console tards', a lot of transfers from PC to console actually work pretty well (just look at Fallout 3, both the PC and Console versions of the game were very good), however, many PC versions of console games have been accused of sucking (the MW2 boycott comes to mind).
