I wish dr who would clone me.

im gonna buy dnf one of these days. I don't play any of the modern shooters, so it will probably be pretty awesome.

Guys, you're forgetting the important thing. The DLC didn't take more than five years to come out.

DNF isn't that bad. Although, didn't they release a patch that lets you carry 4 guns at once? Was that just in Multiplayer? I was playing yesterday and could still only use two...As for Doctor Who Cloned Me, it looks pretty good. Gotta love additional SP content!

I don't know about the patch, but I do have to agree about the 'not that bad' part.

Because let's be honest. Duke Nukem was NEVER good. It was NEVER some amazing sort of game you went and bragged about to your friends. It was just FUN. And despite it's flaws, Duke Nukem Forever is still FUN for me. I wish it were -better-, but hey... they resurrected a DEAD game and I enjoyed playing it.

So we might even see the Duke finally get a game DESERVING of his badass name.

Anyways, I don't really care -what- the hell people think. The fact that people are actually BUYING the game, even after all the shit reviews and the ranting 'gamers', tells me that I wasn't the only person who had fun.

So y'know what? The hell with it! I'll buy this too, and I'll probably have a blast.

Speak for yourself, Duke Nukem 3D was amazing at the time and it is still relatively good today.

You really want to argue that it was amazing at the time? What did it provide, really? Pseudo-3D graphics? A plethora of guns and ammunition? Because that wasn't anything new. In fact, the game took every ounce of it's inspiration from other games who had attempted the whole pseudo-3D thing before it.

It just did it with style. And that's what made the games good.

But you have to understand, that my argument for 'good' doesn't mean what you might think it does. I'm not saying that Duke Nukem 3D was bad. I'm saying it was exactly the kind of mediocre re-hash of existing game mechanics that Duke Nukem Forever is.

But it's the STYLE of the games that matters. It's the attitude.

It's this world of machismo and insanity and sleazy women and sleazier men. It's this world full of arrogance and shocking amounts of self-awareness. And while it doesn't do everything it could have done, neither did Duke Nukem 3D.

It took the Atomic version for the game to really feel like anything more than a pretty-ified, sexed up DOOM clone. And even then it was just a pretty-ified, sexed-up DOOM clone that took place in hilariously amazing locations.

And despite this fact, I loved every second of it then, too.

The style. For me, it's that style... the cheesy B-movie style. Duke has always embodied that for me, and DNF is no exception in my book.

First thing I did when I heard there was new Duke Nuken Forever DLC coming out? Started playing through Bulletstorm again.

Much as I applaud DNF for having boobs and deny that it's the worst thing to ever happen to gaming, I applaud Bulletstorm much more loudly for actually being fun.

They're still trying to bring the game back to life?

The game is 8 bucks used already. The gargantuan price drop less than a year after its release can tell you if the game is worth getting or not. The only reason why the game is "popular" is because is Duke freakin' Nukem, the game that was in development for ages and could even be considered a meme by now. But truly, whatever DN is offering, there's already another game out there that offers whatever it is but better. Is the game fun? Maybe, it depends on your point of view. Is it worth getting? I suppose as a last resort. Is it worth getting the DLC? I don't know. To me, a game not worth getting is just that: Not worth getting even if the DLC is epic. That's just me.

Nuclear power plants are a radiation hazard, not a biohazard.

Nit-picking aside, I've got Duke sitting on Steam and haven't touched it yet. Whether I ever get as far as the game, let alone the DLC, is yet to be seen.
