I have great respect for Gearbox for not just giving up on this game, and instead supporting the people who actually enjoyed it.

Plus, there's a good chance the DLC will be a lot better, as it won't have had the incredibly troubled development of the main game which was responsible for the flaws.

The more I see people damn Gearbox for daring to bring support to DNF at their own cost, the more I respect Gearbox for supporting the game for those of us who actually liked it. Gearbox and Triptych don't give a shit about you people crying for DNF to die (who wouldn't buy the DLC anyway); they see the fans who'd like some more DNF stuff, and are providing it. You don't have to like it, you don't even have to acknowledge it exists. Heaven knows that's certainly what you'd want to do. But you could be more mature than treating anyone who likes DNF as if they're a retard and Gearbox/Triptych are even worse for wanting to support it.

The game is crap. We all know that. However, assuming this is reasonably priced it sounds like a not-to-bad DLC. As opposed to; $5 for costumes $10 for four multiplayer maps $30 for more story Formula so many are following nowadays. Borderlands did show me that gearbox makes their DLC worth it (usually...)
3/4 wasn't bad.

OT: I can't believe they would even do this. The game is a joke, why even bother? Just let the damn thing die.

God Damn! I've deleted PS3 install of DNF a week ago! Well, I want this DLC but don't want to bother installing the game again... God, this game should have never required an install on a console.
Well, no harm in waiting. Perhaps in the end I'll even get it cheaper, with PS+ discount or something.

You. You are good people. You say things that make me NOT want to punch my fellow nerds. I thank you for that.

ye*yawn* DNF was an awesome game... so the reason why its popular is hardly surprising. i think the reason why people are upset is just because it isnt simply call of duty for grown ups.

I guess haters gonna hate.

Because there are people out there who bought the game, liked the game, and they are supporting those people with what sounds like GOOD DLC at a better price?

Yes, how dare they. Those horrible monsters. How dare they show any appreciation to their fans. They should have had some weapons locked on the disk that could only be used with the purchase of a 500 point DLC like good wholesome developers.

I feel bad for Gearbox, they are taking a hit for a game that wasn't even really their fault. Hopefully they can make the redeem the franchise.

OT: Will not buy. Boycotting DLC for this game because of the shit that went down with the First Access members shit.
I'm not getting it because the game was doomed to be shit since they didn't come out with it several YEARS ago.

Anyways, people, their still making DLC because the last ones sold and thats because Die Hard Fans don't let anything die as long as they possibly can. We have experienced this with Halo and Call of Duty before.

The way I see this DLC, it's not going to change the fact that DNF isn't a good game.

What this DLC will do, is be some sort of yardstick by which Gearbox will decide if future DNF titles will be worth the investment.
