I understand that people are book-smart and have no common sense thus dumb smart kid. The form I am asking about is the difference between knowing when to be serious and when not to be. I mean I get good grades and most of the kids at my school who get 4.2's seem to put themselves higher then others. There is nothing wrong with self-confidence but to ignore someone based on the grades is just ridiculous. I try to live in a spectrum so I know my people however they may be. I goof off a lot just to have fun and not be all prestigous. People see me however as someone who is smart but acts like an idiot. I do so because it's fun I figure these are the most carefree times of my life so why should I pretend to act grown up and not my age? So my peers see me as a dumb-smart kid for having fun. Is it really a dumb way to spend my high school years? Should I reform and be a model citizen at the age of 16 who prides myself on knowledge I do not yet have? Well I'm looking for an anwser ,but I see it as a grey area.
