I sort of agree with her. I mean you'd invite professional soldiers to an event (whose job it is to kill people), but not porn stars? I'd think that'd make for a more fun party as well.

Well as long as they didn't invite those guys from Granger Games.

That seriously is the best looking picture of her. You should see her without the photoshop... *eesh*

Modern Pornfare 3

This level features a controversal airport level, where our heroine has sex with unarmed civilians, press 1 to skip or 2 to play.

This made my day. I always did think Captain price looks a bit like a 70's porn star. Kinda sounds like one, too.

And poor Kim learned the hard way about America's hilarious priorities. Let the kids murder thousands of virtual people, but GOD FORBID they see any tits or ass, we wouldn't want to corrupt them. On the plus side, you avoided attending an Activision (see: the devil) hosted event. And for a mediocre cookie-cutter game, too. Go buy yourself a copy of Battlefield 3 if you actually enjoy shooters.

"Love-makers"?

Is that what we're calling them now?
The literal translation would be: "Shooting as many people as possible is nice, but sex is dirty"

Yep, I knew keeping this would come in handy. To anyone from any country that's not America that wants to act like this kind of prude behavior is only exhibited by Americans:

Kindly remember that it's not only Americans, and keep your bigotry and ignorance to yourselves for once. ;)
Wasn't banned, it was put after 11, you know, when people who aren't legally allowed to buy it are all asleep. Call it prudish, but it was an entirely logical call, this one wasn't.

Christ, I ain't even patriotic but your arrogance pissed me off there.

I liked the "sperm shower" quote too but it seemed a little bit much for a news post.

That said, she makes a very good, albeit rather obvious, point. There's some delicious irony in being all worked up about having a porn star attend a launch party for a videogame that's essentially an eight-hour bloodbath.

(Please don't correct me on that, I have no idea how long the game is and I don't care.)

Funny how Teri Hatcher is still invited:
Yes but you see, she is not a porn star. meaning she is not paid to have sex on camera. Even if she was once filmed nude, there's a difference between being a shill and being a whore. Primarily, I suspect penetration is that difference.

Not that I think being a porn star should turn you into a praiah. But Terri Hatcher could hardly be called a porn star. Seriously now.

In 2006 the "Adult" industry made something like $97 Billion in revenue. Yes that's Billion, with a B. And yet somehow, porn is an inappropriate activity that only "other people" watch.

Come on folks it's MW3. Just about everyone playing it will be watching porn either before play, after play, or during load screens.

I love that, they make her out like she's an ambassador for the whole porn industry...I really doubt she'd go into the party to try and sell porn to everyone, why can't she just be a regular gamer?

It's an "M" rated game, Activision. Do you really think there's no audience overlap? Show a little humor and a little spine.

She has never come off as a particularly intelligent woman but I think she handled this quite nicely.

I rather like her little quote at the end there. But, really, Activision, you're just showing how infantile you are. You make an M-rated game, there should be no problem with am "M-rated" actress being there.

But, then again, this is the same company that backs an MMO that's about to have kung-fu pandas, it's no wonder they don't want put any adult vibes out when their big money maker is a game for babies.

Oh quit being so childish Activision. Yes, she's a porn star, so what?

You're game's about killing many people indiscriminately. You have no moral high ground here.

Y'know what. I actually think that's really unfair. So she's a porn star, it's not illegal, and it's worth remembering that behind that she's also a person. Shame on Activision for not doing their research, and then double shame for unceremoniously dumping her for no reason other than she's a porn star. Who are they worried about upsetting? The sort of prudes who will think less of you if you even so much as associate with someone who engages in something they personally disapprove of? Not only can people like that go fuck themselves, but face it Activision, they're gonna whine about you no matter what you do. They're certainly not going to buy your game, so why should you care what they think?
Totally agreed. this is coming from the company that published a game which let's you make someone eat glass and then punch him in the face QTE style... I actually think the people who enjoy that would also be more than thrilled to see miss Holland at the party... the rest of the world would either not care at all (like most of us) about either of those or dismiss both as inappropriate.

Honestly they probably would have sold more copies if she WAS there and did a photo-op...

You know what I find so funny about this? How the guy/gal that made this decision ended up in the top tiers of Activision. I mean incredibly stupid and short-sighted can you be? Our country is only a small one, and this launch party would've meant nothing. No-one would've known or really noticed she was there, there wouldn've been any image damage for Activision.

But because of this incredibly retarded move, they've put the spotlights on themselves, and not in a good way. Nice job Activision, shooting yourself in the foot like that.

To be honest, you have to be pretty intelligent to run a huge porn franchise. She ain't just an 'actress'.

How idiotic, she's spot on too. The hypocrisy is abundantly evident here. Killing is just fine just don't have a porn star for gods sake no!
