I'm another person who hasn't had any problems with the speed of the controls... that came out of left field for me. How much faster do you need things to be?! Is Fable 3 gonna read your mind so the meer thought of using a weapon automatically uses it?
Peter Moly-//- : "Our new controls are so fast they'll read your mind before you push the button!"

Peter Molyneux "this will change the way you perceive gaming, you'll really connect with the menu system, its the most intuitive menu we've ever built"
Anonymous Lionhead rep "no no, actually its shit"

I'll be honest, this looks really interesting, especially the way you level up by gaining supporters.

But small problem, I have a PS3, damn it.
That kind of candidness from the people making the game, I like.

"Our last game? Shit. We're not going to dick around this time."

Kind of gets you amped.
I know its what you do when your about to release a game, you don't sit people down and tell them you've actually been dicking about, you hype up your game.

Its just Moulynex takes it to a whole other level, he gushes about stuff his team can never put into a game. My favourite one was about ten years ago, he said he was trying to implement real emotions in a game, like if the main character cried "you'd see your own reflection in their tears".

One of the Edge journalists actually laughed.
Peter can cast spells with words, I actually like the guy, he hypes because he's so hyped about it himself, of course it's bad for him, but he just can't stop! lol, I'm almost looking forward to just hearing him talk about F3.
but he ruins games.

He just makes them sound so special, and then real world complications hits in and were stuck with his latest "Buggy mc Glitcherson" game.

If you don't know about the above game, its Peter Moleneux's latest Opus where you control the best glitch in a game and really connect with some gameplay bugs.

I personally don't think he has done this since Fable 1, or at least not in the the fable franchise since fable 1. The original Fable was his Icarus, but on Fable 2 he was pretty smothered by his PR guys, which was probably a good thing.

If Fable 3's storyline/writing improves over Fable 2, I will 'forgive the franchise', and be quite happy.

If Fable 3's storyline/writing improves over Fable1, I'll be ecstatic.

...

If Fable 3 sucks, I'm getting a divorce
You should probably discuss that with your signifigant other first.
Haha, well played

Didn't he say you could plant an acorn in Fable 2 and after time it would grow into a tree?

Like I said in my first comment, this game actually looks interesting, but I have a PS3 so I wont get to play it.

I wouldn't mind it if I didn't need the natal to play it, or if it ever came out on the PC, but since the second one never did I guess I will have to pass it up.
You don't need Natal, Natal is optional.

edit

and it will be on windows. I honestly have no idea where you got what you said from, but it was entirely false.

OT:

This looks amazing. I'm definitely buying it.

Nope that was the original fable, that was the whole scandal part of that game. He sold the skin before the bear was shot. Funny enough, you actually do help with planting an acorn in fable 2 and it will grow into a tree over time.

Hmmm.. I loved Fable 2 for many reasons, but the humour was the thing that made it stand out from other RPG's. The magic menu was terrible, though I only stuck to using inferno so it didn't really affect me. I also hated the map- not that there really was one, there was a pretty picture of albion and a mini map in the corner, none of them i ever used. sucking up all those experience orbs was very satisfying, I will miss it in Fable 3 :( melee combat was good, but whenever you charged up your powerfull attack thing, the enemy just got out of the way so i never used it. The co-op better be good this time, because it could have been much less annoying in Fable 2. Besides that there are only minor complaints about the Fable 2. From what i've heard, I don't know how Fable 3 could be any worse.

I had the best idea for a spell combination that i think would work in any/all situations:

Swords + Vortex = Blender!

That would be awsome.

I really liked both Fables, but 3 is looking to be the best. I am seeing where Molyneux is coming from in trying to cut down on all the minutiae that plagues even the GOOD RPGs. Weird thing was I liked using the guns in 2 because it was hilarious to see a guy's head vanish when you used a blunderbuss. The magic system also intrigues me, though I wonder how many gauntlets will be available for spells.

I really enjoyed the Fable games as well, so definitely looking forward to Fable 3! :D

I think you have a gauntlet on each wrist with one spell per gauntlet, but like with Fable 2, you can go into the menu at any time in battle and change them around.

I like that the lionhead people are actually acknowledging how shitty Fable 2 was. I read an interview with Molyneux shortly after it came out and the man actually tried to justify all the bull-shit, including why you had to share a camera. At that moment I vowed never to look at another Fable game again.

Now that people who worked on the game are admitting that it was shit, I think I'll look into renting it once it comes out. Still not going to buy it, though. Not unless renting it completely revolutionizes how I think of it.

That's not a small problem... lol.

But in all seriousness, do you have a PC? Most ppl have a Computer and it was said that Fable III will be a PC release as well so you may be in luck! :D
