Just saw some God of War gameplay and the game looks remarkable. But it does look like they've turned it into an open world game. I only say this because of the use of the word "Discovered" when finding new territory. Language like that doesn't typically turn up in linear games.

Well, Sony more or less won E3. I'll save doing individual thoughts, because I can pretty much stamp everything with "awesome."

First Spyro, now Crash.... I hate you so much, Skylanders. Once I heard the music, I was excited, but once Skylanders was mentioned, quickly turned to stunned disappointment.

Pretty good, zombie shooter was not exactly an amazing way to finish. Wtf is Kojima doing? God of War looks interesting.

God of War - Not a fan of the franchise, but that dialogue here was fantastic. Made me think I may want to play this one. I like the setup, but if the entire game isn't similar to this, I could be disappointed. They actually got me curious about a God of War game though.

Days Gone - Interesting. New post apocalyptic title. Not much known but is clearly story driven. Count me in. Disappointed it is zombie apocalypse, I was originally hoping it was something else. Would be neat for it to be post-zombie apocalypse. I need to see more.

Last Guardian - Yep, took long enough.

Horizon - Yes please. I prefer my open worlds to be more natural scenery than apocalyptic so this game looks beautiful. Skyrim with mechs? I have been waiting for this one.

Detroit - I like what Quantic Dream is doing here. I will be checking this one out.

VR - $400 with 50 games in October is a decent announcement. I am just not into the whole VR thing though until they get a lot of the kinks worked out. Some of the games are pretty clever. The presentation was solid and better than I expected but didn't manage to excite me about VR yet.

Death Stranding - Was funny to see Daryl turn out to be the guy in the video. But I have no idea was I was looking at. The video looked good, but I don't have any idea what I just watched. Hideo Kojima, you're weird. Good weird, but weird.

Spiderman - This looks like it could be the next big superhero game. I don't care for the costume, but the game looks fantastic.

Sony impressed me this year. So far they are leading the 'contest' of 'winning' E3 for me.

Quantic Dream shows us polygon android emotions and wishes they got Murphy first.

Android sent to the Xbox division of Microsoft to negotiate putting down the detonator tied to C4 planted around the building.

I can see console sales slowing drastically now that the Neo and Scorpio are on the way. Who in hell is going to buy a PS4 or a One when they can wait and get the updated versions.

The big question mark for that inquiry is how much those more powerful console versions are going to cost. If they are just $100 extra, sure, people will probably prefer to wait and get the better version. If they are twice the price, that wait is going to be a lot longer, for a lot more people. If the Scorpio goes for $600, there are going to be a lot of people looking at the $300 model-S and thinking that maybe 4K rendering isn't worth it just yet.

You don't spend the money you can put toward a console now and add it to the money you have in a years time.

Hard to see what the issue is unless people are spendthrifts.

Days Gone looks ok although I did think it was strange that Sony closed the show with it, when they announced that I kinda expected a Last of Us subtitle to appear on the screen or something.

You too? Heh, I am in the camp where I don't want a sequel but if I am honest, I have to admit that I was kind hoping this was a spiritual sucessor. A story of someone else in that world with no ties. Society is back on track but looters own the countryside and there still lurks mutations. Maybe somewhere in the game is a picture in someone's house of a woman with an old man and it says "Wishing you the best. -Joel and Ellie"

But whatever. Still seems like the would have closed with God of War or even Crash Bandicoot considering it is Sony.

I keep likeing horizon zero dawn the more I see of it. It keeps looking more and more like a open world RPG. I also like the details of the enemies.

I don't think Kratos is going to die (even if he dies what is this his 5 time dying) I think the kid is going to die and the game will be trying to get the kid back. but this is a god of war game so Kratos is going to die will just have to see if it sticks.

I think it's a welcomed change for the series. Hell I wasn't expecting it in the first place, but it looks like they could pull off the new mythology. It'll be deeper gameplay-wise from the looks of it, and as far as action and scale I'm sure we'll see plenty of that in due time.

I don't see what was so exciting about The Last Guardian. We've known it would be released for a year now and they didn't really show anything new. Honestly, I've always found it overhyped.

Some people still expected a delay though. I know I did, especially with the PS4 Neo coming up.
And I haven't seen the Sony conference yet, but I'm kind of glad they're not showing anything new. The less they spoil the game the better.
