I don't think they ever did. Sure, Bungie did, but then Bungie is not involved with this anymore. The IP belonsg to Microsoft, and they said from the very beginning they were going to keep making them. 343 Industries was made specifically to do that, make more more Halo games. But Bungie is indeed done with Halo.Who Dares Wins said:I really, really hate, when developers say they're done with a franchise or an IP and then they just announce a new game. It just shows their greed. I'm pretty sure we will be seeing a new God of War, too.
Exactly, I haven't played Halo Wars, but yes it counts I don't think it was a bad as people make it seemZeroMachine said:Seventh game in the series.
Seventh.
I don't care what anyone says, Halo Wars counts.
that was not an ending! you can't "end" a series with "wake me when you need me". c'mon!vrbtny said:Microsoft!! Leave Halo the hell alone! Bungie gave it a ending, don't screw that up.
There are three sorts of ending. The Metal Gear Solid 4 one, where you tie up absolutely everything into a perfect knot(See ZP episode on it.)Elijah Ball said:that was not an ending! you can't "end" a series with "wake me when you need me". c'mon!vrbtny said:Microsoft!! Could you perhaps enlighten me a bit? I never read the book, would be interested in a bit of knowledge outside of the games, though.Sniper Team 4 said:I for one am happy about this. I want to see Cortana and Master Chief get back to Earth. Maybe Halo 4 will tie in with the books, and all the Spartans will finally be able to go home.
...Oh. FFs. Thank god for corporate hive-minds.Bungie is not making this game. When they announced Reach was their last Halo game, they meant it. This is being developed by 343 Industries, a development team Microsoft created specifically to make more Halo games.
You can if the ending's main intent was to get RID of the main character simply so the series would end.Elijah Ball said:that was not an ending! you can't "end" a series with "wake me when you need me". c'mon!vrbtny said:Microsoft!! I've played it, and I really liked it. After all, this was Ensemble's last kick at the can. I just had to appreciate that. Not to mention the story was pretty cool too.artanis_neravar said:Exactly, I haven't played Halo Wars, but yes it counts I don't think it was a bad as people make it seemZeroMachine said:Seventh game in the series.

Actually, yes, you can heal other players. In Reach, they added an armor ability that drops a bubble shield that heals any teammate inside it. There are other examples of using team work, but hey Just saying, not gonna try and convince anyone to like Halo, just thought I'd correct that point of yours.Gindil said:Ya know... Halo is absolutely boring to me. The same goes with CoD. There's really no emphasis on teamwork, you go around, pick up a weapon and shoot. The goals will be forever secondary to just going out, killing all attackers with any manner of gun, without anything in regard to strategies for the game.
You can't heal other players, you have a shield that is only stationary, you also get an individual jetpack...
Where's the options to actually have a team game in Halo other than driving people in a Warthog?
