I donno, I feel like they are now just trying to "milk" us... I think they should just go make ONI2... I want to see some REAL games being made... we've waited for ONI2 long enough...

actually... I think if they made this the end of master chief in the beginning... like he dies, and you play as someone came afterword, discovering his tracks, and finally found that AI navi... hologram girl, and pick up where he left off, that's actually be interesting, like a reset, or a new generation!stutheninja said:
You are right about rich universe, but I see nothing about the other races, or other lifeforms, they just shows up as... well... targets... I hope you actually get a variety of (good guys) characters this time... and perhaps this time, the threat is more than "PLANET EATER- THE END OF WORLD!!!~" because it had been OVERDONE.. look at unicorn, Mass effect, oblivion... etc... do something new, maybe rouge/evil/cult/dark Spartans?

If he's in a total vacuum with no gravitational pull then jetting something from the reactor (I don't know, coolant fluid) into the vacuum could flash freeze it (The cloud of crystals giving the impression of smoke/flame from a jet pack) whilst still propelling him.

This is going to be awesome. Or so I hope. I, like the naive gamer I am, believe that MW3 will actually be pretty good, Skyrim will be the Holy Grail of WRPGs and that HALO will always be absolutely AWESOME!
Guess whether it's a day one purchase for me.

IMO Bungie Finished off the franchise good and proper, ( the rts was dull imo) but It was a good series it played out its story it was fun and challenging and they ended it.... and even did a throwback for the book fans, Halo was good, it was solid and IMO it is done. I will not be buying 4 5 or 6.

Yes, the whole tag-line was "Finish the fight", but that is clearly a reference to the fight between the Covenant and Humans [and probably the flood.] That is to say, you finished the fight. That doesn't mean there can't be another fight. There is nothing to say that it can't be entirely new protagonists.
I'm not a big Halo fan [I was only aware of the regular ending, I had to google the Legendary one and I haven't played it multiplayer.]
People like these games and it was set up to be extended. You aren't being forced to buy it or follow the additional canon. You can if you so choose leave the story where it is and call that the end to the series. In other words, stop bitchin'.

Christ if I anymore, "oh they're milking this franchise," "they're running it to the ground," bullsh*t, I'm gonna go crazy. The Halo universe is incredibly rich and deep. There are a lot of stories to tell, way more than can fit in just one trilogy. Hence all the books, and the additional games outside the trilogy. Yes they happen to be very popular, especially its multiplayer, which sadly automatically makes it a target for hate, but there's still a story to be told. The war with the Covenant is finished in Halo 3, but Master Chief and Cortana are lost in space, and seen drifting towards an unknown planet. That sounds like a fairly large unresolved plot line. Hmmm, what happens when there is a plot line that is unresolved? Oh yeah, the rest of the story is told, which means more game(s). Man haters piss me off.
I agree. Bungie put the Legendary end in Halo 3 for a reason. Maybe they had never intended on continuing it, but they certainly weren't trying to end it. I may not be entirely sure how I feel about it yet, but I'm not about to say I'm against it. When I saw the trailer, it interested me. I can think of a number of different things they could do bouncing off that trailer alone that would really expand the series for me in a way I really wanted them to. Of course, they could also totally screw it up, but I'm pretty sure 343 knows that and I would hope they don't plan on screwing it up. I'm already happy about the Halo remake (except for maybe how the Master Chief looks) and, depending on how Halo 4 plays out, I'd say there's a good chance I'll become gung-ho for it as well.Captain Placeholder said:
