Don't care if it's a dick move! DA is my favourite RPG since it's release and I've been having money issues, I just wish I can win the escapist contest for the game.

(PS- It really is a dick move, I don't know how the hell The Stone Prisoner was a DLC since it seemed like an integral part of DA, and the Exiled Prince gives away the same vibe)

Pretty much. I think it shows just how much of the game is getting butchered up for DLC.

Well would it be better if they released another mysanthropic non-living (I guess shale kind of iffy on that count) character? I think that would be far worse to just keep giving us that. Look at Zaeed, he was a jerk and all but he was a pretty interesting jerk.
Yes. Considering how most of Bioware's humans completely suck compared to the non humans, I would much rather have more HKs. Compare HK to Atton (haven't played KotoR 1 yet, I'm sure it's not much of a stretch that Carth is boring and annoying), Legion to Miranda, and Morrigan to Shale. I liked Zaeed as well, but he was one dimensional. Plus he was the Shark drill instructor driving teacher from Spongebob, so that's just gravy XD

I refuse to preorder any game that wants me to do so before a certain date. Makes me wonder if they're afraid of review scores or something. Tbh, I didn't bother picking Shale up in most of my playthroughs anyway, and only really used the DLC as easy gold from selling all those damned crystals. Don't really give two shits about this prince fellow, as I'm certain the same would happen with him.

Hell, if DA2 wasn't made by Bioware, I probably wouldn't be interested at all.

Announcing DLC before the game is released. I hate it when it happens because it just makes it obvious they're abusing the system for more money.

Hi there, EA, let me just give you a pointer, of the many under my imaginary hat, on what the fuck DLC is supposed to be.

It's extra content from a successful game years down the line after release to give players - new and old - that same fresh experience of playing the game on day one, so they can continue to enjoy it.

You've somehow got it backwards with purposely removing content from a game yet to be released and then selling said content for muchos (Robert) dineros to players who haven't even played the game yet. Sure, pre-order and get it free, even though it's not really free, but whatever. They'll, as always, sell it in a few weeks/days time to all the other poor schmucks.

Ah yes, EA's belly is growling for money, I'm just gonna take a wild guess and say they just locked this "DLC" off the game so they can sell it to you again.

How long before they make you pay for every quest...

I'm not pre-ordering the signature edition, purely because the colour scheme ruins the effect of the blood dragon.

oh i agree with you there, the only time DLC should be announced it at least a month after the game is released, seems they are getting way to carried away with this, turning a games extras into a money making scheme. they might as well if they are already not just breaking a single game apart and selling individual pieces.

I won't be getting this, since I rarely have the money for a new game on the day it comes out, or even to preorder. Soooo..... yeah, won't be able to get this 'til later. Which sucks, since it looks interesting.

So, you guys are worried that the standalone game won't be feature-rich enough without that DLC?
Here's a simple solution: Don't buy.

If you don't think you're getting your money's worth, why waste your money? Your hand isn't really being forced, here.

and what's the deal with putting a time limit on the preorder window?
The Signature Edition is basically a "Limited Edition", which means that it'll have its own special packaging and in-box extras. They're only making enough SE copies of the game to fill the pre-order quota, so they have to stop taking pre-orders (or rather, pre-orders that are upgraded to SE) before they can start production of the boxes and extra in-box content.

This would be much more interesting if EA/Bioware weren't arrogantly charging $60 for it on PC. So... I'll wait and pick it up when it hits a reasonable price range.

I've already pre-ordered, but this character doesn't look very interesting. Oh well.

At least other buyers won't be missing out on much.
