Anyway, good for EA, they stayed professional and used examples.
The problem is that he (and others at Fox) get a lot of noermal right leaning people paranoid and frightened for their freedoms and their lives by overblowing their outrage over things like gay marriage and making up things like Death Panels.
I like conspiracy theories and everything but these dbags not only make them up but try and get people to believe they're facts.
I don't think the FCC should take them off the air but they should make them stop calling it news. They could call it Fox Right Wing Propaganda or Fox Conspiracies or Foxin Nuts.
What we need is for someone to initiate a large scale smear campaign

Yeah, but thats the point, if the stupid parents weren't paying attention in the first place, they won't now suddenly, and even if they do they'll just go "Omg, games are so violent these days, they should all be banned, our children need to be protected from these developers", yeah, because EA will be kicking down your door and personally handing your children a copy of Bulletstorm.Lyndraco said:I think what Fox is getting held up at is the idea that all GAMES are for CHILDREN, regardless of their rating or the intended audience. This logic is obviously wrong, but they are playing on all the suspicious mothers/fathers/grandparents that buy into this because they never played video games. A lot of us on the forum grew up/are growing up playing video games, so its obvious to us that there are very distinct differences between Bulletstorm and Bejeweled. And a lot of parents today don't take the time to really research what their kids are playing.
So, while Fox news is wrong, and a pain, and spreading sensational lies, in a sense its a wake up call for parents to actually pay attention to what their kids are doing. Granted, this should be handled by them NOT blaming EA, or rape, or some other scapegoat, but by not allowing their child to play until they are old/mature enough. Somewhere along the way, people need to learn that some games, like some movies (as the EA rep pointed out), are for ADULTS.
I'm also a Brit, and I found the same thing. Then I had the frightening realization that there are people who listen to this guy very seriously despite the fact that he's clearly a raving lunatic.captainfluoxetine said:Speaking as a Brit, I find glenn beck HILARIOUS. Because you used all-caps. And because Faux News is only slightly more valid a source than the Weekly World News. And because Faux News has blown this call before, with Mass Effect, in roughly the same way. And because "the latter half" is past the point that most of Fox's mouth-breathing audience will read.x434343 said:WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY FUCKING READ THE FOX NEWS ARTICLE.
