Hell, even though you knew this would be controversial (and doing so after already pushing your luck with Visceral so far), you've been committed to Bulletstorm the whole way, a great step forward for the industry (referring to the idea of sticking by a game in the face of controversy, not Bulletstorm).
This is the most important to me. Having 6 Days in Fallujah shut down, and having the Taliban changed to the Op Force in Medal of Honor (which was EA though) is just silly. If you're going to green light a project and call it art, then go through with it.

I'm surprised they didn't quote facts and figures. Hiding behind, but its M doesn't work when they propose that the M rating does nothing. You need to disprove their argument about the ESRB before you can use the argument to defend yourself.

I'm surprised Fox News is still going, they're an international joke.
My Dad is a fan of Fox news and Glenn Beck, makes me fucking sick and kind of scared, since he's an intelligent person.

Anyway, good for EA, they stayed professional and used examples.
My uncle is like that. He honestly believes that Glenn Beck is the most intelligent man in the US and everything he says should be treated like the gospel.
Well, my dad takes the "I know he's crazy, but his ideas are still good" approach, but that's still enough to scare the shit out of me.
At least it sounds like he scares you in the right way: in that it's scary how many people take him seriously.

The problem is that he (and others at Fox) get a lot of noermal right leaning people paranoid and frightened for their freedoms and their lives by overblowing their outrage over things like gay marriage and making up things like Death Panels.

I like conspiracy theories and everything but these dbags not only make them up but try and get people to believe they're facts.

I don't think the FCC should take them off the air but they should make them stop calling it news. They could call it Fox Right Wing Propaganda or Fox Conspiracies or Foxin Nuts.
Any government regulation is just going to give them ammunition for their paranoia.

What we need is for someone to initiate a large scale smear campaign

My dad, who also follows Glenn Beck and Fox News, believes the US will riot at the drop of a hat.
I know right? We're just like Egypt and Greece and Spain.

Hell, we're just like ATLANTIS, we're going to sink into the fucking sea at any moment.

Funny my Dad also likes Fox news and Beck but he is an idiot. So we can be happy to know Beck has a nice range of viewers.
Yeah, they range all the way from middle aged white males who are smart, to middle aged white males who are stupid, lol

That, my friend, is what's called a paradox.
I think it really just shows that intelligence and sanity are separate entities.

I actually have a lot of that in my family (oh shit, a LOT of it, fuck I'm just realizing it now)

for example, I have an Uncle with like 3 advanced PHD's who constantly thinks the apocalypse is like 5 years away, and that every new physics discovery is "irrefutable proof of god"

Wasn't Fox making a big deal just a month ago about how "inflammatory rhetoric" couldn't influence people into violence and that the people who commit heinous acts should be blamed for their own actions, not the media they consumed?

Oh, right, I forgot. That only applies when a senator gets shot, an abortion doctor gets murdered, or a Glenn Beck fan shoots two police officers on his way to assault an office building.

EA I tip my hat to you. Well done and well played. Fox News seems to forget to put facts behind their stories. That's what we call Yellow Journalism kids

On behalf of my party affiliation, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Please don't judge the entire party off some BS news report.

Ya know what? This whole situation is completely solvable if children under the age of 17 were not allowed to play video games even if their parent purchased it for them. If the child refused to listen and play games like Halo: Reach or Counter Strike or Team Fortress 2 then the child and their adult would be fined heavily. I mean we wouldn't have any more annoying kids online or raging in Gary's Mod if someone trapped them. I'm eighteen and I can't say that I haven't played my fill of violent M rated games, but if Fox news even did the slightest bit of research they would realize that this game wasn't created for eleven year old pre-pubescent children, it was created for adults.

Personally, I wish EA had addressed how Fox News falsely reported that incidents of rape are on the rise (FBI statistics show the opposite, actually), or how this isn't the first time the group has <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/80900-EA-Responds-to-Mass-Effect-Report-on-Fox-News>blatantly misrepresented sexual content in videogames. Granted, the publisher probably doesn't want to engage in public mud-slinging, but I really hope that someone is eventually able to hold the group accountable over these wild accusations that masquerade as facts.
It is always better to not feed the troll that is Fox News. Addressing anything Fox made up directly would only open the gates for further crap from Fox, which would be redundant and a waste of time on the publisher's part. As it is, Fox has already given the game lots of free press giving many college students the drive to go get the game to lose many hours of sleep over. Heck, I wouldn't mind grabbing it myself if I had the cash.
I would say EA, Epic, and People Can Fly are all shaking each other's hands on a job well done. As well as coming out on top in the war on words.

Fox News lies? This is certainly something new to me!
Sarcasm engaged, give us all you can get! I wouldn't expect Fox Network or News Corp to ever admit to it. I wouldn't be surprised if they neglect most research on purpose for deniability. Which might be worse than outright ignorance.

Better yet, why not forbid games to everyone? Then we don't have to worry about anybody complaining about games being bad.
Try coming up with a solution that doesn't have the smell of totalitarianism and decapitation of freedoms. Otherwise plant your butt beside Rupert Murdoch and try not to sound so two-sided.

I honestly wish EA got their best lawyers on the phone. ^_^ Fox is a real pile, and if a powerhouse like EA took a bite out of the Lie-Machine that is Fox (not) News, I'd like them 100% more than I do now. And that is a statistic that is pure fact. you can quote me on that. :)

It's okay. We judge your party based on the entire network, not just the one report. ;)

I kiiid I kid. :3 (let me preface this sentence with "I think") The man that runs fox news tries to run a narrative that is a polar opposite to "left wing media," and make it more "right wing." Sadly, their writing department is closer to a "spin" department. I don't blame republicans for Fox (not) News. I blame Fox News for Fox News.

It's funny because it's always "FOX NEWS" in the headline and yet it's always some random doctor brought on the opinion shows be it beck of O'rielly or hannity or whoever. And then.. they generally bring in someone who disagrees.

Just once. ONCE. I'd like to see someone show me a news report from one of their anchors saying "Bulletstorm will make you rape people"

Of course, they don't. But because they bring people on who say this on an opinion show it's the news they are reporting.

Good response, but nothing too risky.
I want to see the Bullet-storm developers parody Fox News like they did with Halo and COD.
