Oh Yahtzee, will you ever give me a reason to not like you...?

The answer is yes when I'm a famous writer and you review a videogame based off the movie adaptation of one of my books, calling my ideas unoriginal and making various suggestions about my mouth and other mens' testicles...

I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that I'm impressed by EAs marketing with this game or the ironic twist that will be this game will be banned from Australia so he'd have to import it anyway?

Perhaps from GAME TRADERS ROBINA!!!

Okay, that made my day! I knew there was a reason I still support EA despite the hatred coming from all directions (most of which, I admit, is well deserved). Thank you, EA, for bringing me joy and thank you Escapist for chronicling the events that transpired in such a humorous fashion. And a special thanks goes to Rick Astley for that stupid song, Simon West for that stupid video, and 4chan for popularizing both.

You have to hand it to EA. Their marketing campaign for this game is absolutely genius.

And Yahtzee demolished that bloody box.
You mean like the fake protests or more controversy than actual game info?
Would you say that the fake protest and other silly moves have increased your awareness about the game? I mean, I'm not sure I believe the maxim but there is a well known saying about this exact thing: there's no such thing as bad publicity.

HA! Very heavy handed indeed, but points for cleverness.

But, minus points for an overplayed internet meme that needs to die. So they break even i guess.

(A video would have been awesome though. Sadness!)

Now that is clever.
All this Dante's Inferno advertisment is working, I wasn't even going to try the game out before, but I am now.
I might pirate it just out of spite for EA (still pissed that to enjoy the sims, you need to buy like 12 expansion packs.)
Pirating a game out of spite is pointless.

Creative idea, now if only they could sort out that "sin of lust" crap and maybe put some of these creative designs into THE ACTUAL GAME!

It's like spitting into a river of piss, nobody cares and it's not the worst thing you could do.

Very true, and I think the marketing for the game is brilliant. Even if the protesters were fake, it definitely got the game a lot more attention and more people eye-ing the progress.
