They want a 90+? XD
Silly EA, you actually have to make good games first 8D

I admit, I wasn't 100% sure of ALL of the games they had made, but looking at their site...
They mostly have generic sports, lame looking social games for the Ipad, more sports, some licensed titles, even more stupid sport games, and then finally a few better games like Mass Effect, Mirror's Edge, maybe Deadspace (haven't played it, which is why I said maybe)

And even with their better games, the most I've ever thought of them was "Ehh... It's fairly goodish" and I've never been super wowed by any of their games. (almost was by Mirror's Edge, but a few things in that game made me not like it as much)

Yah that 12 million is bloat. Pure and simple. Hey EA assholes, how many downloading it because they were "OMG Origin is soooo fucking awesome!!!" As opposed to "Sonnavabitch if I wanna play ME3 or KoA I have to download this bloated PoS"

I was in the second category myself.

EDIT: Some really bad spelling errors. To early in the day for vitriol.

Put simply, EA....... Not going to happen.

Why don't you come back when you start caring about your customers and stop caring EXCLUSIVELY about you bank roll.

Nono, y'see, he's mwahaha'ing, while I'm bwahaha'ing. Subtle, but it makes all the difference.

And yes, that episode is awesome. Hank Scorpio is one of, if not the best single episode minor character ever to come from an animated show. He deserved more. He deserved the world.

oh my god. why isnt ?A going in to the comedian direction? tehy are so good in talking crap that you just have to laugh.
seriously, they sound so over confident and arrogant, it grows out of the ears. always forcing people to buy things no one really wants. already on the battlelog regarding "premium", many people dont buy it and there are still many people who have it and think we are stupid not to buy "premium", that we have no idea about business, thats the direction games go....blah blah blah.
how can people and a company be so stupid???

I noticed that steam doesn't show metacritic scores next to their games anymore... Anyone else pick up on that?

Just, putting that out there, especially in this context.

So they compared themselves to a better mousetrap?

People have poured research money into better mousetraps, yes, but none of them outsell the wooden spring-loaded one that has been around for ages.

It's like they end up praising and giving credence to Steam even when they are trying not to.

Hating a company for no reason is the definition of insanity. Resorting to ad hominem only weakens the ground you stand on.
Supporting a company for no reason is the definition of insanity. Citing a logical fallacy that you have already regularly committed leaves you with no ground to stand on. Obvious troll is obvious.

If you want everything you do to be 90 on Metacritic, I'd suggest not sticking your dick in everything you do these days.

I deleted it after I finish ME3...then ran Spybot Search & Destroy. 73 instances of spyware were "fixed". I run the SS&D on a regular basis and usually only have 6 - 10 "problems in need of fixing". WTF kind of spam demon did I unleash?

Um...no?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Also, you used an ad hominem yourself when you said that only people with no leg to stand on quote Ayn Rand.

OT: Look, EA, that's all well and good to want these things, but you can tell from this thread that the majority of the gaming community - and particularly the PC gaming community, the ones who are using your Origin platform - bear you ill will. I'd start by actually fixing that, addressing their actual complaints instead of making polls with nothing to do with it (I haven't played Mass Effect 3 but I know the most common complaint was "this ending makes no sense", not "this ending is too depressing").

Besides, you guys haven't put out any Origin exclusives that I'm interested in, and I already have Steam. That's my motivation for not getting Origin - nothing to do with spyware concerns. (I will have to think a little harder about this if you ever put out a sequel to Mirror's Edge, though.)

If you don't buy anything because they release nothing you want anymore, does that count as a boycott?

Actually EA might make it eventually. The problem wih Valve is what happens when Gabe retires or shuffles off this mortal coil. Sure it might keep going under it's own momentumn for a bit but it won't be long before it inevitably collapses and the suits swoop in to squable like turkey vultures over the scraps. When that happens EA is in position to take over as they will have an established brand long as they can keep it going in the mean time. Only thing is I'm not exactly sure how they will get that 90 meta critic score to 90+ on every game they publish.
The question you should be asking is if EA won't go belly up in the water before Gabe does

Console gamers don't always have the choice to use steam since they have invested in a console to avoid upgrading a PC but this also means that any time EA releases a game tied to Origin you have no CHOICE but to use it regardless on personal preference, If any of EA games were still on Steam I will choose steam.

Just because there is no competitor to compete with on the Consoles doesn't make it a success if you have to FORCE me to use it!! You'd be in Sooo much shit if Steam ended up on XBOX Live and PSN!

We want the game if it's good, NOT your crappy "service"
