I heard its mainly apparently to be late 2011, since they also expect Beta testing to be this year (granted beta's could also go through 2011 to 2012, like the game MAG, and I think Rift, can't say for sure though) but from the quality of the game already, its hard to imagine a 2012 release date.Woodsey said:GW2 is out in 2012 last I heard, and that's as close a date as we've got. TOR is scheduled for this year, no firm date yet though.
You bastard! I wanted to play it but the line was too long, oh well, at least I can dry my tears with Geoff and Gus's autographs, lolZeroMachine said:I got a chance to play it at PAX East, and although the basic mechanics from WoW are there, it flowed much more smoothly and was a lot more fun. We were actually communicating at a level 30-ish "flashpoint". I never had to do that in WoW. Plus, the roles felt better fit with a four instead of five person party.
I, personally, liked it way more then WoW, and I'm looking forward to it. Though I won't deny... it may flop horribly. People going into it thinking it's JUST a WoW clone may end up being put off by the dialog system. I'm crossing my fingers it does well enough to last a while.
Except many dislike the GW idea after the first one, and with GW2 release date seemingly 'soon' there's been awful little details on the game itself. Plenty of promises, plenty of big words but no proofs so far. I personally don't hold my breath for it, as i don't really expect from TOR either.Jegsimmons said:i think releasing the game close to GW2 is kind of a bad idea since GW2 wont have subsciptions and people who play wow will probably more used to fantasy then sci fi fantasy.
Heh, I got their autographs too... and Stemage's (the guys that did Metroid Metal)... and I met the lead writer of SWTORdanpascooch said:You bastard! Bioware is Canadian. We Canadians don't get mean. We have Americans like EA do that on our behalf when its not what we want.Raiyan 1.0 said:Aww man, Bioware is getting too aggressive. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE EA?
