Well then arent you doing exaclty the same as them? thats how bidding workswebbo619 said:dont you just hate them! as soon as you bid you've been out bid !! you bid on the last minute and get out bid.
If you want something that badly, you'll do anything to get it.webbo619 said:i think ebay should ban them, if you want something that badly then sit there and wait for it to finish
Exactly, bidding when the auction is about to close is a good tactic to maximise the potential success of your bid. It's not like they're doing something that is frowned upon by eBay (or even most bidders)MelziGurl said:The whole point of bidding, is to outbid the other. When they outbid you doesn't matter at all.
I've never actually bidded on eBAY before. I can tell you it's probably something I would done instinctively.Dom Uk said:Exactly, bidding when the auction is about to close is a good tactic to maximise the potential success of your bid. Yeah, it wasn't something I had thought about before I was going to bid but there was an NFL Jersey that I really wanted for a decent price so I just readied my bid and waited til there was around 20 seconds left and hit send.MelziGurl said:I've never actually bidded on eBAY before. Are you sure that it is a sniper and not that the person before you made a bid higher than yours? The current bid is not the highest bid, it is the minimum amount that beats the second highest bid plus a small increment,webbo619 said:as soon as you bid you've been out bid !!
All it means is that someone had a higher final bid than you, so they automatically got it. Ebay scales bids automatically up to a maximum.webbo619 said:i think ebay should ban them, if you want something that badly then sit there and wait for it to finish
That was you!?Evil Jak said:I tried to snipe someone once on it and failed... I dont even bother anymore.![]()
Don't tell people to start camping, try rushing! If you up the bid so it looks higher than similar items, but it's low enough that when people snipe the overall sales price won't be effected. If that makes sense...megapenguinx said:They aren't doing anything wrong, so no they shouldn't ban them. If you want the item that badly, either buy it now or sit there and snipe them back.
