"All right then. I just hope the dispenser works on someone besides me," Daniel said as he turned his System over in his hands, to check the Engineer cartridge was locked in place. Seeing that it was, he flipped it open and hit the switch on the side to power it up. Thankfully he had disabled the sound, as it had gotten annoying over the course of the Tournament.

Daniel entered the summoning code, murmuring as he did so, "Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A. There we go." A pillar of light similar to the one used to summon Magus appeared in front of him, and coalesced into a figure wearing dark overalls, a hard hat, goggles and a thick glove on his right hand. He wore a blue shirt underneath the overalls, and held a shotgun. A pistol was holstered at his hip, while there was a wrench and a small device on his right.

The Engineer looked around briefly, scanning the area for an opponent. Seeing this, Daniel quickly tapped a couple of times on the System's touch screen. Best not to shoot anyone wearing red, he thought as he did so. The Engineer responded to the command, producing a heavy toolbox from nowhere and setting it on the ground near Jaime. He opened it up, said, "Dispenser goin' up," in a Texan accent, and began to build the device inside, hitting it occasionally with his wrench.

While the Associate worked, Daniel turned to Shann and said, "Looks like you're getting a demonstration anyway, no need to ask."

"Tha...That's the engineer. I...I thought that was just a game. Just an online game." Jaime said, her jaw dropping slightly. "Wait, isn't the healing just a side effect of whatever the beam does?" She looked at the dispenser that The Engineer built. She felt the wound on her arm heal, and soon saw that even her leg wound from her last world was better. "Wow, that's better then a health potion."

"I thought it was just a game as well, until recently," Daniel answered. "This Engineer in particular is different from the others you may know. He's an Associate, which means I can bring him into the real world through my System. He's under my control. I've used him to fight against opponents with different Associates." A thought sprang to mind. "You know the Dispenser, right? As a side note, you may want to top up your guns. I've got the ammo, doesn't matter what weapon you use."

"That's....that's incredible," Shann commented as she saw the Engineer work. "That's doing so much more then my potion did, it's almost sad." Her ears perked up when she heard the word ammo. "Ummm, yeah, yeah I'm going to need some of that." She went for the box which she assumed held all the bullets she needed.

"Well that looks like a pretty helpful power. Wouldn't you say New best friend?" Jericho said, refering to the engineer Daniel had summoned. He walked up to Xandus and looked at his own claws while he moved them around. "Y'know, I can't exactly make a good apoloy to these guys if you're here to fuck everything up. And judging by the way you act and talk, I'd say you've done more than enough to deserve the death penalty, but i'll just ask someone you know. Hey Sam, what all has Xandus done?" Jericho said.

Daniel ignored Jericho, concentrating his attention on Shann, Jaime and his Engineer, who was standing around with nothing to do, not having enough metal to build further. Daniel ran an Associate analysis to pass the time, reading the output produced by the System:

"Hey! Don't you ignore me Pandus. Get the hell away from here and leave us alone!" Jericho said, more upset that he was completly ignored.

Daniel looked up. "In answer to both questions, no. And just so you know, in the Tournament I built my Sentries in case of an attack while I slept," he answered, the cold tone returning to his voice. "Now could you please go away? I don't like people reading over my shoulder. Plus you're irritating me."

"I think we can handle it. I can't die anyway. Plus, why would we want you? You're obviously evil and could kill us all while we're not looking, then you and me would be locked in combat until YOU die, cause I can't. Think about it, you really can't beat me, and we can't risk having you here." Jericho said.

"I agree with Daniel and Jericho," Ian said, rising to his feet, "it seems like you're just as likely to try and kill us out of boredom than to help us do anything constructive."

Ian could already notice himself becoming jaded to new things. Jaime had come back to life, which was surprising but not terribly so considering the lycan had seen resurrections on occasion. The Associate called The Engineer was unexpected, but he found himself less awed about it than he had been about the tube-lights inside the building he had awoken in. Or perhaps it was culture shock.

"It doesn't make me undefeatable, it makes me unkillable, and you WILL get tired, and when you do... And I really don't care if you've killed gods and deities before, I sure don't want you with us." Jericho said.

"Yeah... I don't think I like the limb thing... And experience? Experience in what? I've killed creatures you've probably never even seen before." Jericho said.

 

[CloggedDonkey]

"Yeah, and I don't trust someone who tried to eat my corpse because he was hungry. So stay as far away from me as possible." Jaime said angrily. She looked toward Shann. "Come on, let's go before another fight starts."

Jericho stepped up to Xandus' face. "I ripped the heads off a 3 headed monster that could crush you with one punch, fought giant insects, destroyed an entire dimension, killed creatures from the darkest corners of nightmares, and lost my mortallity. You could destrroy this universe and i'd be the only thing left. Oh, and I didn it without all your weapons and powers." Jericho shoved his finger in Xandus' chest. "Now get the fuck away from here, psycho." He said.

"Do you two really need to have another pissing contest?" Ian asked, stepping between them. "Everyone is tired of hearing it from you two. If you're not going to get along, one of you needs to leave. Or better yet, both of you leave. How's that sound?"
