I haven't played WoW in almost a year and I find this really funny.
I did not play on a RP server and I never came accross anything like this.
Of course I also played with all chat channels turned off excpet for guild chat.
If you don't turn off all the channels, all you hear is disgusting racism, sexism, and homophobia. And I think that is a much more ugly problem than some folks getting kinky on a RP server.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

I also found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XLzP2YNezg

which caused my face to melt,

and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNsdXSTFa6Y

which, God bless them, reminded me why I don't play with people who do this.

They think Night Elves are bad? Be glad there were no Tauren out there, the kid would've been scarred for life.

Honestly though, this stuff really can get out of hand from time to time, and I think it's about time Blizz decided to do something about it, even if they move to another area.

Well at least we know that with shit like this going on South Park will never have to dig too far for ideas. Also, when they say 'patrolling' do they mean omnipotent chat monitoring or actually having an Moderator and Avatar in the area? The first is less funny, the second is hilarious.

I thought this is why the game had an in-game chat filter? Its the sons fault he turned it off.

Besides, aren't we paying to play World of Warcraft how we want to? That's like buying a game of Bayonetta and having it taken off you by Sega for having a fap over her while playing.

If people want to stand around in an inn, without any clothes on their characters talking, whether it be about sexual content or not, they should be allowed to do so.

Figures, A parent blames someone else for him not doing his job of making sure his child does not do anything indecent or protecting their child from obscene stuff. How did society come to this point where nothing is no ones fault and everyone else is to blame for the bad things happening to them/their kids. Maybe this father should cancel his "parenting" account and give his kid to someone who is actually able to care for him, instead of just pointing his finger at everyone/everything other than himself. This poor kid is going to grow up bitter and ignorant just like good ol' papa.

Wow, that dad's a little bit of a loser isn't he? It's not like you can actually take all your clothes off to reveal your privates or anything. That's reserved for Age Of Conan.
The irony is, he eaither used his wife's toon, or he plays as a Blood Elf female.

Don't they have, like, private rooms or something for that?
No. All areas in WoW can be reached by players. (expect GM-island where the GMs login)

And maybe when we get someone doing something like this, they could poke around with the goldspammers that run trough that area to Stormwind.

But if I understood right (pardon me if I didn't, I am not native to English). only public forms of communication are "Monitored" by these victorian-age fidelity police? And Guild/party/raid...etc left only for the random sweep monitoring?

I entirely blame blizzard for this. If their game was fun to actually play, people wouldnt need to entertain themselves through roleplaying

Very true words...

I haven't seen any of this crap at goldshire personally (normal/PvP servers), but from all the rumors like this I keep hearing it's about time they did something.

Also you people on the RP realms may just lose old town in Stormwind to these guys, not sure if anyone other than warriors, rouges, and people getting PvP rewards will care though.

did the "Online interactions not rated by ESRB" clause come up... what people want to do is their business, and if your making a character on moon guard... go horde? shit oh noes it hurts so much boo hoo, i hate this new american age of sue/***** about everything
If you look at the WoW forum where this started, the first replay was "Online interactions not rated by ESRB". I still find alot of irony in the fact the father has a Blood Elf Female toon.
