Generally, when people put nudity into something, it's not exactly done with tact or finesse. Sticking boobs on for the sake of having boobs is what people expect nudity to be, which tends to put them off (or at least make them feel obliged to pretend they feel that way).
I agree with this. Nudity in games usually isn't done appropriately. Sometimes it'd just a sales gimmick to boost sales. Nudity done appropriately, like in Mass Effect, has its place.

To be honest, I have a problem with nudity in other areas as well when the erotica becomes the aim of the medium.

Naked people in more classic paintings don't bother me quite as much because the people there are fairly normal looking and in more or less normal poses. No breast squeezing, no clothes cut to bring eyes to the chest or crotch, just people from a more relaxed time going about their day with the focus being put on what they're doing as opposed to how they look.

Near nudity in modern music videos disgust me when it consists of the women in skin tight costumes that come within half an inch of being lengerie or men with pants that sag until pubic hair could be seen if it wasn't for the high boxers or hanging shirt. It's especially grating when the camera ends up focused on the chest or crotch areas while the person air humps or takes other poses that bring those areas front and center.

Sexiness isn't too bad on the Big Screen when it's done tastefully. If there's even ten minutes dedicated to shadow images of people just going at one another, it starts to feel like fanservice pandering to the LOLSEX group. Now scenes like the Tudors where two people are having their fun with different servants and talking about their day? That's probably the first time where a blatant sex scene didn't get my nerves up if only because it wasn't entirely focused on the sex.

As for books? Yeah, I don't go out of my way to purchase erotic novels or read fanfic if it's all about the characters finding every way to ravage one another as quickly and regularly as possible. It starts to get repetitive despite the different ways authors go about describing things.

That's the trend for other forms of entertainment, and video games aren't any different. Costumes designed just to draw attention to areas the devs want attention brought to, camera angles that don't allow the player to see much of anything else, or poses that shove things into your face without any other purpose.

TL;DR: The more sexy/erotic things are shoved in my face, the more I hate them.
