I caught the midnight showing; it've got to say it the hands down the best movie I've seen in a good while. And yes, there was a collective "AUUUUUUUGH!" in the theatre you know when.

I stopped at the spoiler warning.

I'll definitely go see it this week.

Best NON PIXAR movie? Cerebral?

I stopped at the spoiler waring also, although i can't see it quite yet as it is 1:37am and it is also not out here yet, damn, i have to wait a whole 5 days to see MovieBob's review.
Neither of you really need to worry about the spoiler he just reiterates what you can get from the commercials.

Nolan's best movie? For me it is a toss up between this and The Prestige. One hell of a movie.

Oh, and it might be good to wait a week or so for the movie goers to die down. Me and a friend of mine went to see it, and several shitheads in the back of the theater hampered the experience quite a bit.

The cut to black at the end had one of them yell out "THATS IT!? The movie ended half a second too soon!" I guess the average moviegoer really is as thick as the analysts say he is.

Pretty good review. Definitely going to another showing in an IMAX before Inception gets released on disc.

And I would suggest to everyone reading that you do the same. It is going to be great on Bluray (or dvd if that's your thing), but the theater experience (idiots aside) is simply spectacular.

This movie really was absurdly good, and Moviebob easily redeems himself from not ripping The Last Airbender to shreds.

I just got back from seeing it.

It is even better than Bob says. THIS is an instant classic. I want to see it again, I want to own the DVD and I want to watch this every so often with friends for years to come.

Thank you Christopher Nolan. Thank you.

here's what I said on another forum:

.....................
I-
Just-
WOW, WOOOOOOOOOOOW.
SEE THIS MOVIE.
Nolan might have just topped The Dark Knight. If this film doesn't get noms for Best Picture and Best Special Effects I will be shocked. If Nolan does not get a nom for Best Director or Best Original Screenplay I will cry foul. If there were any justice in the world Dicaprio, Levitt, Cottilard, and Page would get noms for the ENTIRE ROW of Acting Oscars. Not to mention Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and even Ken Watanabe.

I am trying my best not to spoil this movie for you because it is so rich and provokes so much thought (I was thinking CONSTANTLY in the theater about the plot) that you WILL talk about it in great length and detail to discuss all its layers. And even without its rich plot and great characters it has some of the most awesome and original action scenes since....EVER.

So, yeah, watch it and see for yourself. The savior of this lukewarm summer has finally come. Nolan, you are indeed a great filmmaker.

Just saw the movie today. Very few times do I walk away from a movie thinking "That. Was. Brilliant". This was one of those times. My mind is completly blown to how incredible this movie is.

Yeah, YOU GUYS SHOULD GO SEE THIS!

I had to stop the video at the spoiler warning. When I saw the trailer for this movie I really wanted to see it.

The trailer made the movie seem like it was trying a little too hard but if it is as good as people are saying I can't miss it.

Shall be seeing this tonight, only hope the theatres aren't too crowded....ah, who am I kidding, I'm gonna need a cattle-prod to get through the crowds.
It's the opposite here in my country, actually. In 3 hours I'm gonna see this movie and the theater isn't even 10% full.Hell, I didn't even know about this movie until a few days ago.
I do not keep up with things.*sigh*

I saw this movie today and was completely blown away. It's smart, funny, action packed, and best of all DIFFERENT! The ideas of creating and descending into dreams is fresh and exciting and the characters do a wonderful job making everything believable and interesting. Go see this movie. Again, GO SEE THIS MOVIE.

This was just the review I was hoping for. Great news that Inception is really as good as it's concept seemed. That's always the worry with something this ambitious, do they do it justice?

Thanks, Bob, can't wait to see this.

Grownup Leo has turned out to be an actor with real depth hasn't he?

Damn I can't finish watching the review cause I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm glad it turned out so good. I mean, I knew it would be good, but not "the best movie of Nolan's career." That kind of blows my mind since Memento is one of my favorite movies and The Dark Knight was also really good. I was going to see it at midnight, but it's like two and a half hours long so I skipped it. I guess I'll be going to see it soon though.

Was gonna go see a late showing of Predators on Thursday when the ticket booth guy asked us ("us" being a friend and I) if we were interested in the midnight showing of Inception. My friend geeked-out, and when we were told that Predators would get out after Inception starts, we decided to wait for that instead. And holy shit was it ever worth it.

See, movies like this and Shutter Island really go a long way to save Leonardo for me. Growing up I grew to loathe him since he was the equivalent to a modern-day... well... I guess I don't really know what teenagers watch these days (and God do I feel old saying that). Suffice to say though, he was that annoying "pretty boy" who was in every movie aimed at teenage girls you could name. Man in the Iron Mask, Romeo and Juliet... that kinda BS. I loathed DiCaprio with a passion that the girls seemed to swoon over him.

These past couple years though, I think I can forgive him for his early career. He really has turned into a great actor. The new Johnny Depp; he has his own little quirky personality that really lets him bring-out his characters better than any other actor could in his spot.
